1119373 �4 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, Nov • 19 at 7: 30 P M -19-H The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Called Session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7:30 O'clock P.H. November 19, 1937• Present: Commissioner Edward Higgins, Mayor. " W. R Dupree " A.W. Lee " W.A.Leffler " M.J."odge City Clerk F. S. Lamson Chief of Police R. 5. Williams. Meeting called to order by the Chairman who announced that the purpose of the meeting was to consider bhe matter of the installation of a police radio system. Also consideration of bids received for the purpose of a. 112 ton Pickup and a 1J ton truck for the Street Department, and any other business that may come before the Board. Thereupon consideration was given to the bids and systems bid on at the meet- ing of November 8th, together with a supplemental bid from the RCA Manufacturing Co. on a 25 watt unit, amounting to $2321.50 plus cost of transmission line and generators for two automobiles, the latter amounting to approximately $105.00. Action deferred pending receipt of information as to whether the County will wish to avail itself and pay for service from this transmitter for the Sheriff's off ice. Consideration neat given to the bids received at the meeting of November 8th. for furnishing one 1/2 ton Pickup and one 1i ton truck for the Street Department as follows: Sanford Buick Co. Seconded by Commissioner Dupree and unanimously carried.
