The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session at
the City fall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. October 4, 1937.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Messrs C F Ross and Otto H. Anderson then appeared with reference to their application
for permit to sell liquor for consumption on the premises at the S. 1..corner of French Avenue
and Seminole Boulevard, and on recommendation of the Chief of Police, same was approved.
Mr. V.A.Williems next offered to rent a dump truck to the City at $5.00 per day,
the same price being paid for a truck used in connection ,7ith the 17PA street paving
projects, with the understanding that the rental paid may be applied against the $450.00
purchase price of this truck in case the City should gash to purchase it.

Consideration next given to request of the Florida Poi�,er & Light Company for a
reduction in their personal property assessment for 1937.

WHEREAS, in accordance With Section 59, as amended, of the Charter of the City of
Sanford, Florida, the City Clerk of the City of Sanford, FlLorida, has made up and submitted
to the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, an estimate or budget of the
revenues and expenditures of the City of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1937, and ending Septe -lber 30, 1935, such estimate or budget having been
made with particular application to the various departments of the City, said budget

Clerk to the City Commission be and the same is hereby adopted as the budget of the City
of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year beginning the first day of October 1937, and
ending the 30th day of September , 1935.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that upon the collection of any revenues of said City
the City Clerk shall allocate from each dollar collected and received the several amounts

AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD , FLORIDA, FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 12 1937 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1938-
and same was placed upon its first reading and read in full by the Clerk.
Thereupon Commissioner Dupree moved that the rules be waived and said Ordinance
No. 258 be placed upon its final passage and adoption.

Thereupon the question recurred upon the waivure of the rules. The roll was called

City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida.

Florida, by unanimous vote , had passed and adopted said Ordinance No. 259 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION AND MAKING
THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY OF THE CITY OF SANF ORD, FLORIDA FOR THE YEAR 1937.
On motion duly adopted , Ordinance No. 259 was ordered posted at the front door of
the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida..
Consideration next given to the request of the Sanford Counttry Club for an additional
appropriation for maintenance of the Municipal Golf Course.
Thereupon $125.00 per month was authorized for this purpose for the first six
months of the fiscal year, or until further notice.
Request next received from the proprietor of the Bee Bee Inn on Sanford Avenue
between Fourth and Fifth Streets that the whitewa.y light in front of his place of
business be lighted, and seine was taken under consideration.
On motion duly adopted, and in accordance with the recommendation of Municipal
Judge miller, the Commission next authorized the suspension of $150.00 of the fine in Municl
PeL1,;Couxt G s,q,,No.23196 and suspension of $150.00 of the fine in Case No. 23357•
There being no further business the meeting then adjourned.
