There being no further complaints or objections registered, the Commission then adjourned as an Equalization Board until a later date, and thereupon proceeded to handle any other business which may came before it. A committee from the Lions Club next appeared with further reference to request presented at meeting of June 13th. for financial .,assistance to send a delegate to the Lions Corvention at Oakland, California, it being the intention of this delegate to advertise the City thru the medium of folders and advertising material furnished by the Chamber of Commerce and the County Agent's office. The committee then advised the Commission• that since the last request the bulk of funds necessary had been raised, only requsting the City for the balance necessary. Thereupon Commissioner Lee moved that $25.00 be donated to the Lions Club for this purpose.. .j o 4-14 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, July 6 at 7:30 P M 19 38 Seconded by Commissioner Coleman and carried. Statement next presented from the Sanford Atlantic National Bank showing interest due to June 30th. on contract with Randall Electric Co. oovering the installation of flood lighting equipment at the Municipal Athletic Field, amounting to $40.20, and on motion duly adopted the Clerk was instructed to make payment thereof. On motion of Commissioner Lodge, seconded by Commissioner Lee and unanimously carried, the Board next approved the payment of $400.00 to theSeminole County Baseball Association, Inc. to apply on expenses of the Sanford Baseball Club, this payment being made as s. loan against the $600.00 guarantee fund now on deposit with the League.
