City Attorney, Fred R.Wilson City Clerk, F.S.Lamson: Chief of malice , R G Williams Meeting called to order by the Chairman. Minutes of Regular Meeting of December 28th, 1931 , read and approved. Commissioner Byrd next moved that $20,000.00 be paid from the Debt Service Appropriation to apply on judgment, obtained by the United Mutual Life Insurance Company and judgments obtained by Kenneth �. Keefe D.T.Diehl, and others, covering past due City o? Sanford Bonds an$ interest. Seconded by Commissioner Speer and carried. Commissioner Speer,next moved that the Clerk be directed to address a com- 443 munication to the President and Officers of the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce ex- pressing the appreciation and thanks of the City Commission for the wind cone presented by that organization to the City for use at the municipal aviation field during the Progress Day exercises. Seconded by Commissioner Lehman and carried. There being no further business to come before the meeting the Commissiorr . then adjourned sine die. SANFORD, FLORIDA,_ .Tan 5tr, at A- _P _ 19-3.2 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, convened in Regular Annual Session at the City Hall in Sanford Florida at ' 9 O'Clock P M January 5th, 1932. Present Commissioner T.L.Dumas' H J L ehTan V.A.Speer " C A Byrd Commissioner - Elect W A Leffler City Attorney , Fred R.Wilson City Clerk, F.S.Lamson Chief of Police R. G.Williams Commissioner -Elect W. A. Lef f ler first took the oath of off i'ce and was, duly installed as a member of the Commission for the ensuing three year term. Commissioner Speer next moved that Commissioner Dumas be appointed as temporary chairman of the meeting. Seconded by Commissioner Lehman and carried. Nominations were now in order for the position ofMayor of the City of Sanford for tie year 1932• Commissioner Lehman nominated Commissioner Dumas for re- election. Commissioner Leffler nominated Commissioner Speer, but nomination withdrawn on the request of Commissioner Speer. Commissioner Speer nominated Commissioner Byrd but nomination withdrawn on the request of Commissioner Byrd. Commissioner Speer next moved that the nominations be closed and that Commissioner Dumas be declared the regularly elected Mayor of the City of Sanford,,Florida,' -'f or the ensuing year. Seconded by Commissioner Lehman and unanimously carried. Thereupon Commissioner Dumas took the oath of office and was duly installed as Mayor of the City of Sanf ord. Commissioner Speer next moved that the City appropriate $20.00 from the Contingent Fund to help defray expenses of the Seminole County Better Farming Show, to be held January 7th, 8th and 9th, 1932.
