The City Commission of the City of Sanford Florida met in regular session at the
City Hall in Sanford, Florida at 7:30 O'Clock PM. January 25, 1932
Present: Commissioner T.L.Dumas, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Minutes of Regular meeting of January 11th. and Special Meeting of January 20th.
1932, read and approved.
Petition next presented requesting that Mrs Jimmie Howard, widow, be allowed to con-
tinue operating cold drink and peanut stand at the N.W.Corner of Park Avenue and First
Street, and same was ordered filed, further action upon this matter being postponed
until a later date.
Fire Chief Cleveland next presented need for 500 feet of fire hose, and on motion
of Commissioner Lehman, seconded by Commissioner Speer and carried, the Clerk was in-
structed to obtain competitive bids for this hose.
On motion of Commissioner Speer, seconded by Commissioner Lehman and unanimously car-
ried, the Clerk was next instructed to meet the interest falling due on February 1st, 1932,
on notes for $4,000.00 held by the Nye Odorless Crematory Company, amounting to $120.00
Commissioner Speer next offered Resolution No. 425 and moved its passage and adoption.

WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Commissioners of said CITY OF SANFORD, said
bonds should be cancelled by perforation.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA
that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby authorized to cancel the above described bonds
by perforation:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.

A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF DEED OF CONVEYANCE BY THE
CITY OF SANFORD , FLORIDA TO SANFORD GAS COMPANY OF CERTAIN REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
DESCRIBED IN WRITTEN CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AND SAID SANFORD GAS
COMPANY, DATED MARCH 31, 1928.
WHEREAS, by written contract dated the 31st. day of March , 1928, the City of
Sanford Florida, a municipal corporation bargained and sold and agreed to convey to
Sanford Gas Company, a Florida corporation of Sanford, Florida, the following described
real and personal property situate in the City of Sanford, Florida, to -wit:
The entire and complete gas plant and distribution system, the property of
the party of the first part as now in user "in the City of Sanford, Florida, consist-
ing of service holders, relief holders, gas machines, boilers, exhausters, conduits,
mains, pipes, conductors, meters and any and all other apparatus and appliances as
now in use in the City of Sanford, Florida, for making, generating and distributing
gas for heating, illumination or other purposes, together with all supplies, parts,
pipes, fittings, coke, coal, oil and other materials on hand as of Larch 1, 1928; also,
Two(2). Flat top desks.

at the for the sum of $360,000.00 payable as in said written contract stated; and
WHEREAS, said Sanford Gas Company desires to pay the remainder of the purchase price
of said real and personal property namely $9,528.15 in bonds of the City of Sanford, Florida,
as provided in said contract and obtain a deed of conveyance of said real and personal
property:
NOW THEREFORE, Be It Resolved that the Honorable T.L.Dumas, as Mayor of the said City
of Sanford, Florida, execute a deed of conveyance with covenants of general warranty except as
hereinafter stated, in the name and on behalf of said City of Sanford, Florida, of the above
described lands and premises and personal property to said Sanford Gas Company, the said
deed of conveyance to be attested and the corporate seal of said City of Sanford, Florida,
thereunto affixed by F.S.Lamson as City Clerk of said City, and deliver the same to said
Sanford Gas Company upon payment of the aforesaid remainder of the purchase price in bonds
of the City of Sanford, Florida, as provided in said contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Deed of Conveyance except from the general waranty of

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon.

As the City Commission of
the City of Sanford, Florida.
In accordance with the terms of Resolution No. 426, the Mayor and City Clerk next
executed deed transferring the Gas Plant properties to the Sanford Gas Company.
On motion duly adopted, the Clerk was next instructed address a communication to the
pastor and congregation of All Souls Catholic Church expressing the sympathy of the
Commission for the burning of their church and rectory on the morning of January 25th.,
and offering any assistance as may be necessary.
Instructions were next issued that $1000.00 fire insurance be placed upon the new air-
plane hangar at the Municipal Aviation Field provided for under terms of contract with
Mr. E.J.Goeringer, after which the meeting adjourned.
