0211311 1 1 I MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, Feb. 11, 1931 7:30 P 9 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in Special S ession at the City Hall in Sanford, Florida at 7:30 O'Clock P M February 11, 1931. Present: Commissioner T.L.Dumas, Mayor. If H J Lehman If W.A. Leffler If V.A.Speer if C.A.Byrd. Associate Counsel, Cary D. Landis City Clerk, F.S.Lamson. Meeting called to order by the Chairman. The Commission then proceeded to consider supplementary proposals submitted by the Bond Holders Protective Committee, to the Agreement heretofore entered into between the City and this Committee, particular attention being given to form of receipt to be given upon the payment of money to apply on the judgment secured by this Committee against the City; also form.of receipt proposed to be given by this Committee to any of its bond owners with bonds entered in this judgment, which receipt this committee proposes the City will accept in pay- ment of taxes prior to the year 1930, provided the 1930 taxes are paid in cash at the same time/or in payment of special assessments. Also form of receipt covering interest coupons in this judgment, which receipt it is proposed to have delivered to the City at such time as the bond or bonds from which the interest coupons specified therein. are detached, is or are turned in to the City in payment of delinquent taxes or as payment on special assessments. Wst After careful consideration of the proposals submitted, the roll wcalled as to whether the form of receipt proposed to be delivered to the City upon payment being made on the judgments, is acceptable, the vote being as follows: Commissioner Dumas Aye Leffler Aye " Lehman Aye " Speer Aye n Byrd Aye nstructions were next issued for the City Attorney to prepare resolution to be pre- sented to the Commission at the next regular meeting, authorizing the acceptance in payment of taxes prior to the year 1930, provided the 1930 taxes are paid in cash at the same. time or in payment of special assessments, of receipts issued and delivered by the Bond Holders Protective Committee to any of its bond owners with bonds entered in the judgment secured by this Committee against the City, such receipts to recite the bond covered by the receipt and to include all accrued interest. / The roll was next called upon the form of receipt which it is proposed to deliver to owners of bonds and interest coupons now included in the said judgments, which receipt it is proposed the City will acept in payment of past due taxes, provided the 1930 taxes are paid in cash at the same time, and also in payment of street paving and bulkhead special assess - ments,' the vote being as follows: Commissioner Dumas Aye it Leffler Nay n Lehman Aye n Speer Nay Byrd Aye The meeting then adjourned.
