ADJOURNED MEETING of

There being no quorum present, the meeting adjourned to meet again at 5 :30 O'Clock
P.M. January 31, 1931.

MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION 5:30 P M January 31,1931.
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session.at the
City Hall in Sanford, Florida at 5:30 O'Clock P.M. January 31, 1931.
Present: Commissioner H.J.Lehman

In the absence of Mayor — Commissioner T.L.Dumas, Commissioner Byrd moved that Commissioner
Lehman take the Chair.
Seconded by Commissioner Speer and carried.
Thereupon Commissioner Lehman took the Chair.

The Clerk then present/ the completed tax roll of the City of Sanford for the year 1930.
Thereupon, upon motion duly adopted, said tax roll was approved.and adopted as the Tax
Roll of the City of Sanford, Florida, for the year 1930, and instructions issued that said
tax roll be opened for the collection of taxes on Monday, February 2, 1931.
The Commission next proceeded to consider reductions in-the operating costs of the City
fi
of Sanford for the current fiscal year, such reductions being za de necessary through the
adoption, by agreement with the Bond Holders Protective Committee, of a much smaller budget
for this purpose than was originally contemplated would be needed.
After a careful consideration of each and every Department of the City Government,
instructions were issued looking towards a curtailment of operating expenses to such an
extent that the total for the year will not exceed the amount allowed in the budget.
On motion of Commissioner Byrd, seconded by Commissioner Speer and carried, the
meeting then adjourned.
