The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session at the
City Hall in Sanford, Florida, at 9 O'Clock A.M. November 12, 1931,
adoption.
Present: Commissioner T.L.Dumas, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman
Commissioner Speer then introduced Resolution No. 422 and moved its passage and
Seconded by Commissioner Byrd and carried by unanimous vote as follows:

RESOLUTION 022
WHEREAS, The Chase National Bank of the City of New York, at 57 Broadway, New York

City, have in their possession the following unauthorized pretended oertifioates of indebted-
ness and unsold bonds of the City of Sanford, Florida, to -wit:
Pretended certificates of indebtedness of the City of Sanford Florida, , payable to
Seminole County Bank of Sanford, Florida, or order, dated November S, 19269 payable February
S, 1927, for the sum of $300,000.00, upon which said certificate of indebtedness has been
credited the sum of $100,000.00
Pretended certificate of indebtedness of the City of Sanford, Florida, payable to
Seminole County Bank of Sanford, Florida, or order, dated December 27, 1926, payable March
27, 1927, for the sum of $100,000.00
Pretended certificate of indebtedness of the City of Sanford, Florida, payable
to Seminole County Bank of Sanford, Florida, or order, dated December 27, 19269 payable
March27, 1927, for the sum of $200 ,000.00
City of Sanford, Florida 5j% per cent improvement bonds, Series "LL" , dated July 1,
1926, maturing July lat., 1956, numbered from 101 to 150, both numbers inclusive, Denomination
$1000. each
City of .Sanford, Florida, 5j per cent Improvement Bonds, Series "MM", dated July lot,
1l1q26 Maturing July lst, 1956, numbered from 1 to 40 , both numbers inclusive. Denomination.
*1006 each.
City of Sanford, Florida 5j per cent Improvement Bonds, Series "NN" , dated July lst,
1926, maturing July lst, 1956, numbered from 1 to 400, both numbers inclusive. Denomination
$1000.00 each.
City of Sanford Florida, 51 per cent Improvement Bonds, Series "SS", dated January
1927, maturing January lst, 1957, numbered from 1 to 250, both numbers inclusive.
Denomination *1000 each.

WHEREAS, final decree has been rendered in that certain cause lately pending in the
United States _District Court, in and for the Southern District of New York, wherein the
City,.of Sanford, Florida, a municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of the
state of Florida, was plaintiff ,-and The Chase National Bank of the City of New York, a
national banking association organized and existing under the laws of the United States of
America was defendant, requiring The Chase National Bank of the City of New York, to surrender
and return the above deporibed unauthorized pretended certificates of indebtedness and unsold
bonds of the City of Saufprd, Florida, to the City of Sanford, Florida, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, that Geol A.DeCottes, Special Counsel for the City of Sanford,
Florida and Charles A Boston, Special Counsel for the City of Sanford, or either of
them, be, and they are hereby jointly and severally fully authorized and empowered as
Attorneys for the City of Sanford, Florida, to accept delivery from The Chase National
Bank of the City of New York, of said pretended certificates of indebtedness and unsold
bonds of the City of Sanford , Florida, above described, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said Goo. A.DeCottes and Charles A. Boston, or
either of them, be , and they are hereby jointly and severally fully authorized and empowered
to execute and deliver unto The Chase National Bank of the City of New York, a receipt in
the name of the City of Sanford,,-Florida, for said pretended certificates of indebtedness
and unsold bonds above described, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said Goo. A.DeCottes and Charles A.Boston, or eith
of them, be, and they are hereby jointly and severally. fully authorized and empowered as
such attorneys for the City of Sanford, Florida, to execute a full and complete release to
The Chase National Bank of the City of New York, of all claims and demands of the City of
Sanford, Florida, against The Chase National Bank of the City of New York, with respect to
said pretended certificates of indebtedness and unsold bonds involved in said suit above
described and ordered surrendered to the City of Sanford, Florida, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said Goo. A.DeCottes and Charles A.Boston, or
either of them, be, and they are hereby jointly and severally fully authorized and empowered
to make, execute and deliver any and all necessary releases, receipts and acquittances to
The Chase National Bank of the City of New York, for and on behalf of the City of Sanford,
Florida, releasing The Chase National Bank of the City of-New York of and from all claims..
and demands of every kind and nature whatsoever with respect to said pretended certificates
indebtedness and unsold bonds involved in said suit above described, and
BE IT FURTHER.RESOLVED, that this resolution shall become effective immediately
from and after its passage and adoption.
Adopted this 12th day of November A.D. 1931.
