The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session at
the City Hall in Sanford, Florida, at S O'Clook P.M. September 2, 1930.
Present: Commissioner H.J.Lehman, Mayor

City Clerk, F.S.Lamson
Special Counsel, George A.DeCottes.
Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
The Chairman announced that the meeting was called for the purpose of conferring
with Associate Counsel DeOottes and deciding as to what further steps the City should take
in the suit of the City of Sanford, Florida, versus the Chase National Bank of New York.
After a careful and thorough consideration of the matter, Commissioner Leffler
moved that the City authorize Mr. DeCottes to apply for a rehearing on the Chase National
Bank Suit in the District.Court of the United States, Southern District of New York, and
if rehearing is denied, to proceed with filing an appeal in the Circuit Court of Appeals,
Second Circuit, under the terms of the contract entered into between the City and Messrs.
DeOottes and Boggs, dated February 1, 1929•
The foregoing motion was seconded by Commissioner Miller and carried by the
following vote:

Thereupon, Special Counsel DeOottes was authorized and instructed to proceed in
accordance with.the terms of said motion.
The meeting then adjourned.
