June 2, 1930• Present: Commissioner H.J.Lehman, Mayor " Frank . L. Miller " W.A.Leffler " R.A.pewman " Vivian A Speer City Attorney, Fred R.Wilson City Clerk , F.S.Lamson On motion of Commissioner Speer, seconded by Commissioner Miller and carried, the includi costs, 1928 and 1929 Personal Tax of the Bell Cafe and Hotel was reduced to $100.00 in V,, due to over - assessment. 267. Petition received from property owners and renters located on Sanford Avenue south of Geneva Street, protesting against the issuance of a permit for the erection of a building and the use of said building as a Church by a group known as the " Church of God," on Lot 110 Woodruff's Subdivision, facing on Sanford Avenue at Twenty- seventh Street. On motion duly adopted, the Clerk was instructed to notify this group of people of the protest that has been registered with the Commission and suggest that another location be obtained for their building. Commissioner Miller neat made the motion that all 1929 Real Estate Valuations on vacant un- improved - property ( this does not include farm lands ) be reduced twenty per cent for the year 1930.
