06.27.91M I N U T E S HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MEETING June 27, 1991 4:30 P.M. Cultural Arts Center Sanford, Florida Members Present: Cal Conklin, Chairman Kay Bartholomew Jerry Mills Monte Olinger Laura Straehla Hal Welch Members Absent: Edward Blacksheare Ron Fiorelli Joe Forbes John Mercer H.L. "Lynn" Stogner Others in Attendance: Alicia Clarke, City Liaison Penny Turner, Secretary The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Cal Conklin at 4:45 P.M. Barbara Watson, representing the Cranberry House, was present and submitted an Application for Certificate of Appropriateness to paint the exterior of the building, at 108 Magnolia Avenue. A discussion was held regarding selection of colors. Mrs. Watson stated she had chosen the colors Gothic Rose and Farm House, but would appreciate any suggestions from the Board. The Board suggested a lighter shade. Mr. Welch recommended adding a third color for enhancement. Mrs. Watson decided to select the Heritage Colors Cottage Cream and Burgundy and /or Cranberry. Jerry Mills moved to approve the Application for Certificate of Appropriateness to paint the building with two or three colors being the owners choice, using the Cottage Cream for the body of the building, a dark cranberry or dark burgundy on the trim and either a darker Cottage Cream or a very light burgundy for the intermediate color, on the cornice line, window heads and sills. Seconded by Monte Olinger and carried by unanimous vote. As there was no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 5:25 P.M. Respectfully submitted by: Penny L. Turner
