The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Session at
the City Hall in Sanford, Florida, at 7:30 O'Clock P.M.February 25th. 1935.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Minutes of regular meeting of February 11th. and adjourned meeting of February 18th.
1935 read and approved.
Petition next presented to the Commission requesting that certain farm lands on
the West side be excluded from the corporate limits of the City, said petition being
signed by the following farm owners:

Communication next read from L'Engle & Shands, Attorneys for the Bondholders
Protective Committee, advising that the Committee could not see enough advantage to
its depositors to warrant its paying for the cost of publishing the 1934 delinquent real
estate tax list.
Commissioner Lehman next moved that the 1934 delinquent real estate list be
Published in the Sanford Herald.
No Second.
Commissioner Leffler then moved that the 1934 delinquent real estate list be posted.
Seconded by Commissioner Speer and carried.
The Clerk next presented Atlantic National Bank of Jacksonville Depository receipt
No A -610, dated Feb. 20, 1935, covering 025,000.00 H.O.L.C. Bonds Series of 1933 -51 ® 4%
due July 1, 1951, delivered to the City by the Sanford Atlantic National Bank as security
for City funds on deposit therein, with the request that Depository Receipt No. A -376
for $30,000.00 in Treasury Notes, heretofore furnished by the Bank be surrendered.

Thereupon Commissioner Leffler moved that the new security be approved and that
Depository Receipt No A -376 be surrendered to the Bank.
Seconded by Commissioner Lehman and carried.
Commissioner Lehman next introduced and moved the passage of Resolution No. 467
entitled:
RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE REPAIR BY PROPERTY OWNERS OF CERTAIN SIDEWALKS
IN THE CIY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA AND`-FOR - :SUCH REPAIR THEREOF BY THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA UPON THE FAILURE OF THE PROPERTY OWNERS TO MAKE SUCH REPAIRS WITHIN THE
TIME PR &SCRIBED BY THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AND FOR THE
ASSESSMENT OF THE COST THEREOF AGAINST SUCH PROPERTY.
Said resolution applying particularly to the repair of sidewalks on the East side of

Consideration next given to the matter of traffic congestion on Park Avenue
between Commercial Street and First St. and
and the East line of Myrtle Avenue.
on Seminole Boulevard between Park Avenue
Thereupon the Chief of Police was instructed to require parallel parking at
these locations.
The Clerk next reported that pursuant to previous authorization concerning
the sale of foreclosed property to the former owners the City had agreed to accept
one Home Owners Loan Corporation bond, par value $100.00 and $15.33 in cash, for the
N 1/2 of Lot 53 Block D, South Sanford Grant, and that the foregoing bond and cash
had now been delivered to the City by Sam Zachary and Geraldine Zachary.
Thereupon Commissioner Speer moved that the sale of the N. 1/2 of Lot 53
Block D South Sanford Grant to Sam Zachary and Geraldine Zachary for one Home Owners
Loan Corporation bond, par value $100.00 and $15..33 in cash, be approved; that the bond
be immediately converted into cash, and the portion of the proceeds applicable to the
purchase of City of Sanford bonds be placed in the Bond purchase fund. Seconded by Commissi
Lehman and carried.
City Attorney Wilson was next instructed to prepare for consideration at the next
regular meeting of the Commission, an ordinance requiring the Bus Lines to have
Terminal Facilities off the City streets.
City Attorney Wilson was next instructed to notify W.E.Kirchoff Jr., lessee
of the Mayfair Hotel, in writing, that he has complied to the City's satisfaction
with the first three requirements included in his lease for this property.
In connection with the offer of T.B.Middleton to purchase from the City at a

price of $350.00 the property described as the N W 1/4 of N E 1/4 ( Less S. 110 ft.
and E. 270 ft) and all N E 1/4 of N W 1/4 E. of Mellonville Ave. in Sec. 6, Tp. 20
R. 31 ; also the E. 270 ft of 'N W1 /4 of N E 1/4 of said section 6,
The Commission next ordered that this offer be rejected as being too low.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
