The City Commission of the Cityct Sanford, Florida, met in regular session.
at the City Hall in the Cityof Sanford, Florida, at 7:30 O'Clock P.M. February 11

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Minutes of Regular Meeting of January 26th. and adjourned meeting of January 29th
1935, read and approved.
Current invoices and payrolls for the month of January 1935, properly audited
and vouchered as evidenced by Vouchers Nos. 6673 through 6750, submitted, examined,
approved aid payment ordered.
Monthly reports of the Streets, Sanitation, Health, Water, Police, Fire and
Library Departments for the month of January 1935, submitted and examined.
Financial Statement and Statement of Revenues and Expenditures during the month
of January 1935, submitted and examined.
Bank statements in all accounts, properly reconciled, submitted and examined.
Request received from the manager of the Hotel Mayfair that as an attraction to
tourists, the municipal golf course be kept in better condition, also that additional
whiteway lights be placed on the south side of East First Street opposite the hotel.
Matter taken under consideration.
`offer next received from T.B.Middleton to purchase from the City at a price of
$350.00 cash , the following described property acquired through foreclosure of tax
liens.

Commissioner Speer next moved that the authorization to dispose of property

acquired through foreclosure of tax liens, for the City's equity therein, be rescinded.
Seconded by Commissioner Lehman and carried.
In conformity with request of the Public Works Administration at Washington and
on motion of Commissioner 5hinholser, seconied by Commissioner Lehman and carried,
the following schedule of needed and useful work projects in the City of Sanford was
approved and ordered transmitted to the State Engineer PUPA at Tallahassee;

Deed next presented to the Commission., conveying to the City from the Trustees
of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida, Lots 1,2 and 3 of Subdivision..
of A V French property, this conveyance being in accordance with agreement.at the time
this property was acquired by the Internal Improvement Fund for the purpose of clearing
title to a portion thereof to be used as a. farmers market exchange.
Request next received from the Gulf Refining Co. for permit to erect bulk petroleum
products storage plant on the west side of Myrtle Avenue immediately south of arvi adjacent
to the storage plant of the Orange State Oil Company.
After examination of the plans submitted, and upon being passed by the City
Building Inspector, Commissioner Shinholser moved that the permit be granted.
Seconded by Commissioner Lehman and carried.
On motion of Commissioner Lehman, seconded by Commissioner Shinholser and carried,
the Commission next approved the sale heretofore made to William Clark at a price of
$132.53, $32.22 payable frith cash and the balance with City of Sanford bonds, the
following described property acquired through foreclosure of tax liens:

The matter of whether the delinquent real estate tax roll for the year 1934
should be posted or published was next brought up for consideration.
Commissioner Lehman moved that the delinquent 1934 real estate tax roll be published
in the Sanford Herald.
No second.
Commissioner Shinholser moved that action be deferred and in the meantime the
Bondholders Protective Committee be communicated with with a view to ascertaining
whether it will agree to pay for the cost ofisuch publication.
Seconded by Commissioner Lehman and carried.
In conformity with request received from the Atlantic Coast Line R.R. Co. , Commission4r
Lehman next moved that the City relinquish all claim to the material in' the original spur
track at the water pumping station covered by agreement dated June 24, 1924, this track
having been replaced by a new track built to serve both the-water pumping station
and the Farmers Market Exchange.

Proposal next received from the Seminole County Board of Public Instruction to pay
0300.00 per, year for the free use of the Sanford Municipal Library by the teachers
and students of the County, and on motion of Commissioner Shinholser, seconded by
Commissioner Lehman and carried, same was referred to Commissioners Speer and Leffler
to confer with the Librarian to ascertain whether the amount proposed to be paid will
cover the additional expense incurred.
The Chairman next reported the receipt from Prof. Hanna of Rollins College of
a photostatic copy of a letter written by Captain Charles Mellon under date of
April 9th, 1814, thought to be the only written document in existence signed by Capt.
Mellon, and on motion duly carried, same was ordered placed in the Municipal Library.
City Attorney Wilson next presented Master's Deed dated February 9th, 19351
covering the following described property acquired through foreclosure of delinquent
