M. , 1 9.-3i- The City Commission -of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in regular session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7:30 O'clock P. Lamson Chief of Police R• 0- Williams Meeting called to order by the Chairman. Minutes of regular meeting of June 24th, adjourned meeting of July lot and adjourned meeting of July 5th, 1935, read and approved. Current invoices and payrolls for the month of June, 1935, properly audited and vouchered as evidenced by vouchers Nos. 7031 through 7100, submitted, examined, approved and payment ordered. Monthly reports of the streets, sanitation, health, water, police, fire and library de- partments for the month of June, 1935, submitted and examined. Financial statement and statement of revenues and expenditures during the month of June, 1935, submitted and examined. Bank statements in all accounts, properly reconciled, submitted and examined. City AttorneyWilson next presented deed prepared in accordance with agreement to deed to Seminole County the City greenhouse and the City owned property adjacent to the Municipal Athletic Field described as the S. 628 ft. of Lot 22 and the E. 114 ft. of the S. 628 ft. of Lot 23 Pace Acres, as follows: of THIS INDEN19U35, betweendCITYeOFdSANFORD,� FLORIDA a mun day cipal corporation, as party of the first part, and COUNTY OF SEMINOLE, State of Florida, as party of the second part, WITNESSETH: That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration . of the sum of TEN DOLLARS and other good and valuable considerations to it in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the re-- osipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presente.does grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the second part, its successors and assigns forever, the following described lots, pieces or parcels of land situate in Seminole County, Florida, to -wit: The South 628 feet of Lot 22 and the East 114 feet of South 628 feet of Lot 23 in Pace Acres as recorded in Map Book 3, page 21 in the records of Seminole County, Florida. together with that certain greenhouse building belonging to the party of the first part and located on Elm Avenue between Thirteenth and Fourteenth Streets in the City of Sanford, Florida, which building the party of the second part shall remove from its present location and re -ereot on the above described lands-and premises. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described lands and premises and greenhouse building unto the said party of the second part, its successors and assigns forever, PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that this deed is made by the party of the first part and accepted by the party of the second part upon the express condition that the lands and premises above described and hereby conveyed shall be used by the State and Federal Governments for greenhouse and agricultural research purposes and failure for a period of one year or more at any time after date hereof to so use said lands and premises shall cause this deed to be- come null and void and title to said lands and premises and improve- ments thereon shall revert immediately to the party of the first part, its successors or assigns, and said party of the first part may immediately take possession of said lands and premises and improvements thereon. LAMSON, to me well known and known to me to be the parties who executed the foregoing dead of conveyance as Mayor and City Olerk, respectively, 6t the City of Sanford, Florida, and acknowledged to me that they executed the same as the free act and deed and for and on behalf of the said Oity of Sanford, Florida, and that they were thereunto duly authorized. IN WITNESS WHMRZOF, I have hereunto set my hand and official seal on this the day of July, 1935• Notary Public. My commission expires Thereupon said deed was approved and the Mayor and Clerk authorized to execute same on the part of the Oitq, the vote standing as follows: Commissioner Dumas- Aye " Leffler Nay " Lehman Aye " Shinholser Aye " Speer Nay Communication next read from Municipal Judge Wilkinson recommending suspension of #50.00 of the $100.00 fine of George Swain, case No. 21521, sentenced in the Municipal Court under date of July let, 1935, and on motion of Commissioner Lehman, seconded by Commissioner Shinholser and carried, same was approved. Report next presented showing $695.00 on hand applicable to the judgment of De0ottes and Boggs, and $5,177.00 on hand applicable to the judgments of loefe, at al, and on motion of Commissioner Speer, seconded by Commissioner Lehman and carried, these amounts were ordered paid. The Commission was next advised of the need of a new automobile by the Polio@ Department to replace the Chevrolet coach in continuous service since 1930, and on motion of Commissioner Lehman, seconded by Commissioner Speer and carried, bids were ordered obtained for same. Request next made that the City furnish material for back stops for tennis court used by negroas at the corner of 9th Street and Sanford Avenue. Matter referred to the Mayor and Supt- Moughton to investigate and report. Further consideration was neat given to the proposed liquor ordinance, after which the meeting adjourned to meet again at 7:30 o'clock P. M., July 12th, 1935. Attest: ayor. 'If, 1 1 1 1 C
