Current invoices and payrolls for the month. of gay 1935 properly audited and vouchered as evidenced by vouchers Yos. 6961 through 70.1.0 submitted, examined , approved and payment ordered. Monthly reports of the streets, sanitation, health, rater, police, fire and library departments for the month of May 1935 submitted end examined. Fin =racial statement and statement of revenues and expenditures during the month of Lay 1135 sub mitted and examined. Bank Statements in all accounts properly reconciled, submitted and examined. hr. Hail Butler next requester: permission to use the bond shell on Thursday nights to present " buy -at -home" programs sponsored by the local merchants. Permission granted with the understandin that Mr. Butler pay for the electric current used. Request next received from Will Alexander that the action taken at the meeting of Lay 27th revoking his license to sell beer, be rescinded. After careful consideration of this ::latter, Commissioner Speer moved that the license of "ill Alexander to sell beer be suspended for a period of 30 days. Seconded by Commissioner Shinholser end carried. City Attorney 7ilson next presented certified copy of Act passed by the 1935 Legislature re- defining the corporate linits of the City so as to exclude certain property on the western boundary , said re- defined limits being as follows: Beginning at a point in Lave Lonroe one half mile north of the southeast corner of the plat of the subdivision known as Mayfair, in Sanford, Florida; thence ' south in Lake Monroe and along the Last boundary of said plat of Mayfair and the east boundary of the plat of Fort Mellon 3776 feet to the center line of Eighth Street; thence east 45.4 feet to the west lime of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 30, Township 11 South, Range 31 east; thence south approximately one and one fourth miles to the southwest corner of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 31, some township and ra-ge; thence west 1452.7 feet to the west line of ::ellonville Avenue; thence south 1661 feet to the centerline of Woodruff Street; thence 'pest on the center line of ":oodruff Street and its extension 0430 feet to center line of Lohawk Avenue in the Plat of Dreamwold ; thence north along the center line of Lohawk Avenue and its extension 1001 feet to the center line of Geneva Street; thence East 163 feet to the center line of french Avenue at the South half mile post of Section 36, Township 19 South, Range 30 East; thence North 1980 feet to the intersection of the center line of French Avenue with the center line of 6yurlin Street; thence C =est on the center line of Spurling Street 1988 feet to the center line of larshcll Avenue; thence North on to center line of :arshall Avenue 1323.6 feet to the center line of Central Street; thence ,pest 3308 feet to the north and south quarter section line of section 35 , Township 19 south , Range 30 Last, at a point ool.2 feet north of the center of said Section 35; thence North 5700 feet more or less on the north and south quarter section line of Section 35 and 26, Township 19 South, Range 30 Last, to the center line of First Street; Thence East on the center line of First :street 630 feet to the east line of Tamarind Avenue; thence North on the east line of Tamarind Avenue to the center line of Commerical Street a distance of 335 feet; thence East on the center line of Co__: ercial Street 1625 feet to the center line of Len ustine Avenue; thence North on the center lire of Len6ustine Avenue and its extension into Lake ,onroe 2700 feet; thence easterly through Lake Lonroe approxi_:.a tely 10,000 feet to beginning. 402 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, June 1JQ at g P M 19-35 In view of the fact that there are three overhead lights on +'est First St. in the territory excluded by the foregoing Act, the Coamgission next ordered that thase lights be discontinued at once. Authorization was next issued to have all night white way lights at the N.E.Corner of First at. and Ideple Avenue and overhead light at the intersection of Com:riercirl St. End Laurel Avenue re- connected. Consideration next given to the request of the Southern Bell Telephone Co. to run telephone cable through the trees aloe- the south side of Thirteenth St. west from french Avenue to serve the Farmers Exchange I.Iarket. After considerable discussion the Clerk was instructed to notify the Telephone Company that due to the resulting damage the City is not willing to ellow any i.,ore wires being strung in the trees. The Cominission was next advised that Frank Ha_lris had requested permission to withdraw the petition presented at the meeting of May 27th. that the livery stables operated by E.E.Brady'on Lot S Block 11 Chapman & Tucker's Addition be condemned. Thereupon, the Sanitary Inspector was ordered to make an inspection of this property and report at the next meeting. Co zaissioner Shinholser, reporting for the Committee appointed to investigate the condition of the supply line running from the wells to the water reservoir, next advised the Commission that Supt. i;;ou�hton had been directed to make tests of the pipe at 100 yard intervals from the reservoir to the wells, as a result of ;dhich it had been learned that the pipe is in generally good condition with the exception of a few weak spots and one forty -six foot stretch which had to be replaced. Thereupon the Cori. ,iittee was discharged with thanks, and the Clerk instructed to obtain necessary information with respect to obtaining X00 feet of 16 inch wood pipe to be held for err,ergencies.
