061735V7 MINUTES P M CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, June 17 at 8 9�1 The City Commission of the City of 'Srnford, Florida met in adjourned session at the City Hall in Sanford, Florida at 8 O'C"lock P.M. June 17, 1935• Present: Commissioner T.L.Durnas Mayor " H J Lehman S.0 Shinholser " V.A.Speer City Attorney Fred R.7;ilson City Clerk 4,.S.Lamson Absent: Commissioner '47.A. Leffler. Tweeting called to order by the Chairman. Application received from the Star Boat Line, through E.E.Robinson, agent, to lease from the City site at the foot of lklyrtle Avenue occupied by iinn & Lovett Grocery Co Dock, the Commission being advised by R.B.WiD,ht, representing `� inn & Lovett Grocery Co, that satisfactory arrLngements had been made to sell the dock to the Star Boat Line provided lease for the site can be obtPined from the City. After careful consideration and discussion of terms, Commissioner Lehman moved that the site at the foot of ,'yrtle Avenue be leased to the Star Bolt Line for a period of three years at a. rental of 05.30 per month, it being understood that the lessee will have to pay in addition tares on personal property and the building; also under the condition that the building becomes the property of the City at the termination of the three year period; also under the further consideratim that the lessee make necessary repairs and remodelling and rearrange the front so that trucks while loading or unloading at this point will not project south of the bulkhead wall; and wit:-. the further understanding thFt in case, at the end of the three year period, the thenColillliission decides to lease the building again, the present lessee sh<11 have the first refusal at a rental to be set by the Corn: fission. Seconded by Corl,missioner Shinholser and carried. Thereupon i:r.Robinson accepted the foregoing proposal on behalf of the Star Boat -,. Line and City Attorney `,'ilson was then instructed to prepare the necessary lease, sane to become effective at once. On motion duly carried, all revenues under the terms of the foregoing lease were next ordered ayopropri^ted to the general operatic expenses of the City. In connection with the di s- position of the sunken barge lyinV irrr -1 ediately adjacent to the dock to be used by the Star Boat Line, 1r Robinson next agreed to have holes bored at the mud line to prevent the accumulation of mosquito breeding water, and:r. :°sight agreed to use every effort to have the barge demolished for the sa1va.,,e.
