The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florin -a, tnet in adjourned sessio
at the City Hall in the Citlr of Sanford, Florida, at 7`30 O'clock P.M. July 5, 1935.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
The Chairtian then announced that the meeting was held to further consider
the various bills passed by the 1935 Legislature affecting municipalities; also
to study the financial affairs of the City, particularly as they applied to obtaining
revenues for the operating ex -penses of the City during the next fiscal year.
Thereupon a careful- study was given to a proposed liquor ordinance patterned
after the new State lave, final action being deferred until the regular meeting of
July &, 1935.
Study was also given to the Act requiring separate levies for operating
expenses and debt service, and to the Act requiring the acceptance of bonds for
debt service levies, no definite action being taken on either pending decision by
the Courts as to their Constitutionality.
Consideration was next given to the possibliity of a Refunding Agreerlent
with the Bondholders Protective Committee, also to the question of new sources of
revenues to offset the losses occasioned by the passage of the Homestead Exemption
Amendment, after which the meeting adjourned.
