Lois' Place, Inc. 204 East First Street Members Present: Monte Olinger, Vice Chairman Kay Bartholomew Altermese Bentley Cal Conklin Jerry Mills Laura Straehla 011ie B. Williams Members Absent: Hal Welch, Chairman Chris S. Cranias Others in Attendance: Alicia Clarke,'City Liaipon Penny'Turner, Secretary John Mercer H.L. "Lynn" Stogner The meeting was called to order by the Vice Chairman, Monte Olinger at 8:10 A.M. Lois Dycus, Lois' Place, Inc., was present and submitted an Application for Certificate of Appropriateness to replace the awning and logo on the building at 204 East First Street. Jerry Mills moved to approve the Application for Certificate of Appropriateness to replace the awning and logo on the building at 204 East First Street. Seconded by Laura Straehla and carried by unanimous vote. Vincent Pompo, Vincent Jewelers, resubmitted the Application for Certificate of Appropriateness to hang a 36" X 11" wood sign with engraved letters under the awning at 205 East First Street. The Board had denied the application February 18, 1992, until further information was provided. Mrs. Turner showed the Board the sign. Jerry Mills moved to approve the Application for Certificate of Appropriateness to hang a 36" X 11" wood sign with engraved letters under the awning at 205 East First Street. Seconded by Kay Bartholomew and carried by unanimous vote. Discussion was held regarding the cleaning of the awnings in the Downtown Historic District. It was recommended that Chairman, Hal Welch write a letter to the City of Sanford, Code Enforcement regarding the matter. Jerry Mills moved the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Laura Straehla and carried by unanimous vote. As there was no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 A.M.
