The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special
Session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12 O'clock Noon, December
43, 1935, for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of the Regular Municipal
Election held December 3rd. 1935•
Present: Commissioner T.L.Dumas, Mayor.

Absent: Commissioner W.A.Leffler.
Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Thereupon the Commission proceeded to canvass the returns of the Regular
Municipal Election held on December 3rd. 1935, as made by the Clerk and Inspectors
of said Election, as follows:
For City Commissioner, Group No. 1
For Perry N . Whitehurst
For F.L.Mill er
For City Commissioner, Group No. 2.
For W.R.Dupree
For V.A.Speer
For W. D. Hofmann
Mutilated ballots thrown out
Total Votes cast
121 votes.

Thereupon Commissioner Speer moved that the returns of the Clerk and
Inspectors of the General Municipal Election of December 3rd., 1935 , be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Shinholser and carried.
Thereupon Perry N.Whitehurst and W.R.Dupree were certified to be the regularly
elected Commissioners of the City of Sanford, Florida, for the three year
terms commencing the first Tuesday after the First Monday in January 1936.
On motion duly carried, payment of $5.00 to each of the inspectors and the

Clerk of the Regular Municipal Election held on December 3rd. 1935 was next approved, after
which the meeting adjourned.
