The City Commissioners met in regular session at the City Hall and were
called to order at eight O=Clook by dhas.E.Henrle
There were present:
Commissioners S.O.Chase, Chas.E.Henry. Absent H.R.Stevens.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Communication from City Manager G.A.Abbott suggesting the sale of four of
the Mules now owned by the City, was read and on motion of S.O.Chase seconded
C.E.Renry same was tabled until the next regular meeting for further investi -'
gation.
Communication from City Manager G.A.Abbott advising of the advertising of
one cow for sale from the City pound was read and same was filed.
Communication from City Manager Abbott regarding complaint of Mr.Hood in the
matter of Dance Hall on Sanford Avenue was read and duly filed.
Communication from City ?tanager G.A;Aibbott regarding Iron Hitching Posts
on First Street read and filed for further investigation.
Communication from City Manager G.A.Abbott regarding inspection of electr
a
lights and wiring and remuneration for same was read and under the adk '088 of
the City Attorney the matter was refered back to City Manager to make suit-
able arrangements with the Fire Chief for making such inspection.
Petition from B.W.Smith requesting permission to erect corrugated Iron
building 40 A 50 feet in rear of his garage at corner of Oak Avenue and
First Street establishing an entrance to same from First Street over side
xvxfx walk was read. It was here moved by C.E.Henry that S.O.Chase and C.

A resolution providing the City Manager with an expense account to
be known as the Petty Cash accounts -A-

hereby resolved tlithe sum of Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars
be deposited in one of the City banks to the credit of G. A. Abbott City
Manager and that the said account is to be used for emergency purposes.
That any and all amounts for which checks are issued shall be set forth
in an itemized statement indicating the purpose for which the check was
issued. This measure is adopted for the purpose of enabling the Manager to
pay certain claims or charges which may arise, such as express charges,
labor,postage,telegrame,and other items for which immediate payment is
desirable only when the Manager has evide -.ce as to the genuiness of the
of the charge and will keep a complete record of these expenditures, same
to be audited and approved by the Commission.
