MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION
Monday October 4,1920
Meeting called to order by H. R. Stevens, Mayor. Present: H: R. Stevens and C.E. Henry
Commissioners, G. G. Herring, City Attorney and C J Ryan, City Manager.
The following ordinance was
presented and placed upon its second reading:
ORDINANCE NO 19.
An ordinance determining the amount and fixing; the rate of taxation,and making the
annual tax levy-for the city of Sanford, Flcrida for the year A. D.1920.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA:
Section l.. That the amount determined necessary to be raised bV taxation for the
ordin y pure ses of the municipality and to ppy interest upon the indebtedness of the
City and for sinking fund purposes is3_r1ga
Section 2. That a tax rate for the year A D 1920 is hereby declared and fixed as 'fol-
fbws: For the ordinary ,\ purposes of the Municipality Thirteen (13) Mills on the dollar;
for paying Interest on the indebtedness of the City and for linking FunA,Four (4)
mills on the dollar.
Section 3, That a levy is hereby made of Thirteen (13) Mills on the dollar for the
Pp s s Ordinary u of the M *nicipality and of Four (4) mills on the dollar to pay int-
erest on the indebtedness of the City,and for Sinking Fund,on all property subject to
taxation for municipal purposes within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford
Florida,on the first day of,January A D 1920;and all the property aforesaid is assessed
and is charged with the payment of this levy.

Assessment roll for 1920 Taxes duly oertifipd to and after examination by the Commission,
same was duly accepted and declared to be the Assessment for the year 1920
