Meeting called to arWder by Mayor H R Stevens. Present H R Stevens, SO, Chase and
C.F.Henry Commissioners , C J Ryan, City Manager.
Minutes last regular and special 1!eeting of December 7th,1920 read and approved.
Mr J B Calder of the Clyde Steamship Line asked relief on assessment a&-inst the
ComAany for Terminals $5,750-00,same having been included in Real Estate assessment thus
being a double assessment. On motion the Auditor & Clerk was authorized to cancel the
douole assessment.
Report of the City Attorney dated 11/23120 of collections made on Paving & Sidewalk
Liens laid over from last meeting was read and after due consideration it was moved bit
S,O,Chase and seconded by C,E,Heary and carried thzt the City Attorney be not allowed
any commission on these collections and tht the Auditor & Clerk is hereby instructed to
render the City Attorney a bill for the amounts cLeduoted from remittance made oovtring
these liens in the sum of $56.92.
Dr, D.C.Tard requested that Personal Taxes assessed a6ainst him for 1920. be can-
celled as he had no personal property in the City January lst 1920. On motion the
Auditor & Clerk was authorized to make said cancellation.

In granting this relief the Commissioners will in no way hinder or
jeopardize the collection of these delinquent taxas,at all amounts collected in future
these accounts would simply be credited to miscellaneous receipts instead of personal
taxes. However,it is a matter of boOk-keeping that tree bonding companies insist upon.

and Clark was instructed to make the necessary entry on bookd to relieve the Tax Colleot4r
as requested.

buildings on Oak Ave-showing amount due Chase & Co. for this work $119.87 was read and
on motion the bill was ordered said.
Plat of Spurlinc,,As Addition to Seaford was presented and on motion

City Commission.and the City Engineer instructed to add same to City Plats.

was read and referred to the City Manaer,
Communication from the Physicians of the �,ity urging the necessity of enforcing
the ordinance regulating the sale of milk in the pity was read and the City Manager
was instructed to enforce this ordinance strictly.
The following resolution was read : k\
Resolution declaring that sidewalks shall be constructed on the North side of
Third Street between Sanford Ave.and Cypress Avenue,along the south side and adjacent t
Lot 3,Bloek 4,Chapman & Tucker's Addition to.Sanford and adjacent to Lot 4, Block 9
.Chapman & Tucker's Adaition to Sanford. Prescribing the width of such sidewalks,and the
material to be used in their construction; directing tha-t such sidewalks shall be con-
structed in accordance with the City Ordinances governing the construction of sidewalks
and declaring that if the property owners do not construct such sidewalks within sixty
days from the service of notice upon them so to do,the City will proceed to construct
suoh sidewalks and assess the cost of same to the property owners whose lands abutt the
on.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD- FLORIDA:
T4at sidewalks be constructed on the North side of Third Street between Sanford
Avenue and Cypress Avenue,along the south side and adjacent to Lot 3,Floek 4,Chapman
& Tucker's Addtion to Sanford,and, along the south side and adjacent to Lot 4,BlcD k 9
Chagupan & Tucker's Addition to Sanford.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: - That such sidewalks shall be constructed of cement
shall be six feet wide,and shall be constructed in accordance with the City Ordinances
governing the construction of sidewalks.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:,That the City Manager shall cause written notice of

the passage of the Resolution to be served,in manner rewired by Section 179,of Chapt
5361,Laws of Florida,Acts of 1919,upon the owner or the agent of the owner of each
Lot or Parcel of Land abutting upon the sidewalks herein designated;and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That if sidewalks hereinbefore described be not con -
structed within Sixty Days from the service of the notice provided fOr in the preced-
paragraph,the City Manager shall proceed,by contract to construct such sid ewalks at
the expense of the owners of the property abutting on such sidewalks.
