022821228 REGULAR MEETING OF THE -CITY COMMISSION MONDAY FEBRUARY 28th, 1921 S P.M. Meeting - called .to order by Mayor H R St- evens. Present: H R Stevens, S. 0. Chase and C E Henry Commissioners, G G Herring City Attorney and C J Ryan,City Manager. ,.Minutes of Special Meeting of February 14th. and the last Regular Meeting read and approved. Mr Morris of the Southern Utilities Co. came 'before lthe commission asking that the Company be permitted to place the extension of water mains authorized by minutes of July 13th.1920 on Park Avenue swath in the.alley between park and Avenue instead of in the street. On motion duly carried the permission was granted. The Southern Utilities Co were also authorized to install 250 can power lights in the White Way lapps. Communication from the Sanford Chamber of Commerce relative to Streets and a City dock was read and the Auditor and Clerk was instructed to acknowledge same and t thank the Chamber for its interest and su ,estions. Communication from City Attorney G G Herring relative to crediting Sanford Traction Co. Paving Lien and Personal Taxes for 1915 with the proceeds of sale of Steel'Rails made by the City Council to Oscar Daniels May 24th,1916 and ( creditind at that time to Miscellaneous Income.) thereby cancelling said Paviing Lien and said Personal Taxes. It was moved by C E Henry and seconded by 0 Chase that the Auditor & Clerk ba authorized to make suitable entries on the City books to give this credit. Same was i' imously carried. Communication from Mr A Vaughan offering the sum of $64.00 plus costs, omit - ting interest thereon in flat settlement of the following City Tax Certificates: 1912 Taxes #157 1914 #375 1916 ^ 59 1918 ^ x+90 On motion duly passed the Auditor & Clerk was instructed to authorize the Clerk of the Circuit Court to accept this settlement. Communication from Mr M F Robinson relative to Interest paid by him on City Tax Certificates #49 - 1909 Taxes in the sum of $4.32 and asking that this amount be refunded to him. On motion duly passed it was ordered that $4.32 be refunded to Mr Robinson.
