Meeting called to order by Mayor, H R Stevens at 8 P.M.
Present: H R Stevens, C E Henry and S 0 Chase, Commissioners, George G uerring
City Attorney and C J Ryan, City Manager.
Minutes last meeting read and approved .
Communication from Sanford Chamber of Commerce relative to opening Commercial
Street west was read and held under advisement pending results of other negotiations
now pnddinv ay.
At the request of certain tax payers on motion of S 0 Chase, seconded by C E Henry
and duly passed, the Auditor & Clerk was instructed to authorize ;the Clerk of the Cir-
ouit Court to accept settlement of the following Tax Certificates, on payment of the
face of certificate plus costs and charges,omitting the interest thereon.

RESOLUTION.
Resolution declaring that Certain Streets and Avenues, within the City
of Sanford, Florida be paved as soon as Funds are Available to Pay the City of Sanford
proportionate part of the Costs of paving same. Designating the Streets and Avenues to
be so Paved, the Width and approximate cost of Each.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,FLORIDA:
That the following streets and avenues within the City of Sanford,Florida
be paved as soon as funds are available to pay the City of Sanford proportionate part
of the costs of paving same, the width and at the approximate costs following, namely:

The foregoing resolution was ordered published.
The following resolution was offered:
RESOLUTION -( __-Z '-Q
Resolution declaring that sidewalks shall be constructed on the North
side of Ninth Street, between Oak Avenue and the Passenger Station of the A C L.
Railroad Company, in the City of Sanford, Florida, prescribing the width of such
sidewalk, and the material to be used in the construction thereof; directing that
such sidewalk be constructed in aocordance with the City rrdinances covering the con-
struction of sidewalks, and declaring that if the property owners do not construct such
sidewalk within sixty days from the service of notice on them so to do, the City will
proceed to construct such sidewalk and assess the cost of same to the Property Owners
whose lands abutt thereon.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA.:
That a sidewalk be constructed on the north side of Ninth Street between
Oak Avenue and the Passenger Station of the A C L Railroad Company, in the City of San-
ford Florida, That such sidewalk shall be constructed of cement; shall be six feet wide
and shall be constructed in accordance with the City Ordinances governing the construction
of sidewalks.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the City Manager shall cause written notice of the
passage of this resolution to be served, in the manner required by Section 179 of Chapter
8361, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1919, upon the owner or agent of the owner, of each lot
or parcel of land abutting upon the sidewalk herein described; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That if the Sidewalk herein described be not constructed
within sixty days from the service of the notice provided for in the preceding paragraph
the City Manager shall proceed, by contract, to construct such sidewalk at the expense of
the owners of the property abutting on such sidewalk.
The foregoing resolution was unanimously adopted by the City Commission of the
City of Sanford, Florida, this 25th day of April A D 1921

On Motion of S 0 Chase and seconded by C E Henry, unanimously passed, the Auditor
and Clerk was instructed to publish the following notice to Tax Payers.

Notice is hereby given that on and after July lst,1921, no person will be permitted to
redeem Tax Certificates due the City of Sanford, Florida, except upon payment of all int-
erest and costs due thereon.
In order to benefit by the present liberal policy of the City, alloning Tax Certifioat�s
to be redeemed upon the payment of the face of certificate plus costs and charges omitt
the interest thereon, payment must be made before the lst day of July 1921
