CALLED MEETING FRIDAY FEBRUARY 3,1922
Meeting called to order by Mayor C E_Henry at 2 P.M.
Meeting called to consider budget and any other business that may come
before it.
Present: Mayor C.E.R'enry,S.O.Chase and Forrest Lake Commissioners, C.J.Ryan
City Manager.
The following resolution was offered by S 0 Chase and seconded by Forrest
Lake and unanimously passed:
RE: COMMITTEE ON CHARTER AMENDMENTS.
Inasmuch as the City Commission has as yet taken no formal action in the
matter,, and in order to state its attitude more clearly and put same on record:
THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION: That realizing that certain amend-
ments to our City Charter are necessary for the more effective administration of
the affiars of our rapidly growing City, that the City Commission appoint a Com-
mittee to outline such amendments as shall, while preserfri' 7 in full the

form and spirit of our City Government as expressed in the Charter, promote its
effectiveness and better adaptation to the present needs of our City, and that
the following Business Men and Attorneys constitute said Committee:

City Attorney G G Herring
Attorney J J Dickinson
Attorney George A0DeCottes
who are requested to go over our Charter and outline such amendments as will make
it more effective and better adapted to the City's present needs, and yet pre-
serve unchanged the form and spirit of the City Government now laid Bova there -
iny and that the committee submit such outline4 amendments to a joint meeting
of the City Commission and the Committee at as early a date as practicable for
final action and submission to the electors of the Oity under section 254 of the
City Charter.
Passed unanimously this 3rd. of February A.D.1922.
The Commission then proceeded to consider the budget as presented by
the City Manager for year 1922 and the City Atto rrey was instructed to draw the
appropriation ordinance in accordance with the budget as presented.
