REGULAR MEETING OF CITY COMMISSION
MONDAY FEBRUARY 27,1922
Meeting called to order by Mayor C E Henry, at 8 P.M.
Minutes of last Regular meeting read and approved.
Mr Houston and -Mr Morris of the So. Utilities Co. appeared before the Commission
in response to complaint relative to gas service and promised to take immediate
steps to improve the same.
Hon E A Douglass came before the Commission requesting authority to accept
settlement of the fallowing tax certificates on payment of the face of certif-
icates omitting interest and costs thereon.

On motion duly seconded and passed the Auditor & Clerk_ was instructed to author-
ize the Clerk of the Circuit Court to accept settlement as requested.
Mnf-- Higgins presented plat of "Rose Court" and on recommendation of the
City Engineer same was accepted and ordered added to City Plats.
Mr V E Douglass called attention that Lot B. Markham Park Heights, formerly
exempt from taxation as a park had been sold to private party. This matter was
refellred to the City Atty. for investigation.
Communication from the South Eastern Underwriters relative to Fire In-

surance rates affected by the new fire engine Just purchased by the City and the
City Manager was instructed to add two paid men to mire Force in order to comply
and obtain the reduction on rates of insurance.
The Auditor & Clerk was authorized by motion duly passed to pay bill for
one Lung1lotor 1L $150.00 less 5% F.O.B. 3oston.
