MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETINF OF CITY
COMMISSION, MONDAY , MAY ,22,1922, AT 10 A.M.
Minutes of a Special Call Meeting of the City Commission of the City of Sanford
Florida, held on May 2291922 at 10:M0 O'Clock A.M. at the City Hall.
Present: Commissioners, C.E. Henry, Forrest Lake.
Absent: Commissioner, S 0 Chase
Upon motion of Commissioner Forrest Lake, it was ordered that bonds to the
amount of $325,000.00 of the 6% Improvement Bonds of the City of Sanford, Florida,
of an issue of bonds in the sum of $625,000.00, authorized at an election held in the
City of Sanford, Florida, on the 17th. day of May A.D. 1922, be offered for sale as
soon as possible, and
Thereupon, the City Clerk was ordered and inttructed to have inserted in the
Sanford Herald, a newspaper published in Sanford, Florida, in the Jacksonville Times -
Union, a newspaper published in Jacksonville, Florida, and in the Bond Buyer, a
newspaper published in New York City, the following notice with reference to the sale
of bonds to the amount of $325,000.00 of the aforesaid authorized issue of bonds.
Notice of sale of $325,000.00 6% Improvement Bonds of the City of Sanford,
Florida, of an Issue of Bonds in the sum of X625,000.00 Authorized at an Election
Held in the pity of Sanford Florida, on May 17th. 1922
Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by C.E.Aenry,
S.O.Chase and Forrest Lake, as the City Commission of the pity of Sanford, Florida,
and as Ex Officio Bond Trustees of the City of Sanford, Florida, in connection with
the issue of bonds in the sum of 0625,000.00 authorized at an election held in the City
of Sanford Florida, on the 17th. day of May-A.D.1922, on or before the expiration of
thirty days from the first publication of this notice, and up to an until Six Oclock
P.M. on the 22nd. day of June A.D.1922, at the City Hall, in the ''ity of Sanford,
Florida, for the purchase of $325,000.00 of an issue of bonds of the City of Sanford,
Florida, in the sum of #625,000.00 authorized at an election held in the City of
on the 17th day of May A.D.1922, said bonds to bear interest at the rate �f Six per
centum per annum, and are to be dated July 1,1922, interest payable Semi�an wally__
on July let and January let of each year, both firncipal and Interest payable at New
York, in the State of New York; said bonds being of the denomination of $1,000.00
each and are to be bonds of said issue numbered from 301 to 625; all of said bonds
aggregating the said sum of 0325,000.00 to mature on July let ,1952; said bonds to be
sold
subject
to the
approving opinion of
John
C Thomson, obtained
by
the City Commis-
sion
of the
City of
Sanford, Plorida. All
bids
must be accompanied
by
a certified
check for one and one -half per cent. of the amount of the bonds to be sold.
The said C E Henry, S 0 Chase, and Forrest Lake, as the City Commission of Sanford,
Florida, and as said ex�pofficio Bond Trustees of the City of Sanford, Florida,
reserve the right to reject any and all bids. Proposals should be addressed to C.E.
Henry, S.O.Chase and Forrest Lake, as the Oity Commission of Sanford, Florida.,and
as Ex *Officio Bond Trustees of the City of Sanford, Florida, at Sanford, Florida.
