That the Mayor and City Auditor and Clerk of the City of Sanford, Florida, are hereby authorized and directed to cancel the lien and certificate of indebtedness now held by the City of Sanford, Florida, and to discharge the same of record on the following described land in the bulkhead District of the City of Sanford Florida.: Beginning at a point where the North line of Commercial Street extended East intersects the East line of Sanford Avenue, thence North 318.55 feet to a point 80 feet southwesterly ( measured at right angles) from the Northerly line of Con- crete retaining wall, thence South 69 degrees, 17 minutes East, parallel with said Retaining wall 121.25 feet, more or less, to west line extended of an alley between 6anford Avenue and Cypress Avenue, thence South 275.6 feet to a point East of beginning, thence West 113.4 feet more or less to beginning, same being the prop- erty of Lakefront Improvement Company. SECTION 2. That the Mayor and City Auditor & Clerk of the City of Sanford, Florida., are hereby authorized and directed to accept on behalf of the City Com- Mission of the City of Sanford, in compromise settlement of the Lititgation now pending in the Circuit Court, to-wit: City of Sanford, a Municipal Corporation of the State of Florida. Complainant, vs. F L WOODRUFF and MINNIE D WOODRUFF his Wife, Defendants, in full settlement of said suit and the lien therein described and sought to be foreclosed, the following securities, to -wit: One note bearing date the First day of April A.D.1921, executed by Lakefront Improvement Company, a corporation, in the sum of Three Thousand Sig Hundred Sixty -three and 92/100 Dollars ( $3,663.92) and payable on or before five .years after d&te, with interest at Eight per cent. (80) per annum, and as further security a mortgage executed by Lakefront Improvement Company, a corporation covering: Beginning at a point where the North line of Commercial Street extended East, intersects the East line of Sanford Avenue, thence North 318:55 feet to a Point 80 feet Southwesterly ( measured at right angles, ) from the Northerly line of concrete retaining wall, thence south 69 degrees,17 minutes East, parallel with said retaining wall 121,25 feet, more or less, to west lire extended of an alley between S between Sanford Avenue and Cypress Avenue, thence South 275.6 feet to a point East of Beginning, thence West 113.4 feet, more or less to beginning. SECTION 3. That Landis, Fish & Hull, the solicitors for the City of Sanford, in the above.mentioned litigation, are hereby authorized and directed to procure an order o L the Circuit Court for Oeminole Count, Florida, dismissing the present Liti- gaiton in said Circuit Court, involving the bulkhead lire on the property described herein. SECTION 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an.emergency measure nece ary for the immediate preservation of the public property and for the welfare of the City of Sanford, and shall take effect from and after the date of its passage. The adoption of the above resolution was moved by S 0 Chase, seconded by Forrest Lake, on the 5th day of June A.D.1922, and on vote the same was unanimously passed as follows.
