REGULAR MEETING.OF CITY COMMISSION
MODIDAY AUGUST 28s 1922
Meeting called to order by Mayor, C E Henry at 8 P.M-
Present: Commissioners C E Henry and Forrest Lake, City Manager C J Ryan, City
Attorney G G Herring, City Engineer F T Williams.
Minutes of last regular meeting rand and approved.
Mr 'B W Herndon presented a plat embracing certain lots in Neaves Addition i d
all Blk 47 of J E Pace's Subdivision, Mellonville to be known as "NormanyAhe
same having been approved by City Engineer F T Williams. On motion duly seconded the
plat was accepted and ordered recorded in the plat book of the City.
'Communication from a number of City merchants request_,ng the Commission to tarp
action in the matter of licensing fruit oars sold from rail rodd tracks to afford
better protection for our local merchants. The matter was referred to the City Attorney
to draw up suitable amendment to license ordinance to be presented at next meeting.
The following resolution was offered: # kvE�'
Resolution condemning the building situated on Lot 14, Block 4, Tier 10 and on
the rear of Lot 2, Blk 3.. Tier 4, in the City of Sanford, Florida, declaring the said
buildings, and each of them to be a nuisance, dangerous to the public health and safety
and requiring the owner or owners of said buildings and each of them ,to remove said
buildings within a period of thirty days from the passage of this resolution;, or, on
their failure or refusal so to do, directing the City Manager to have said buildings
removed and to file a lien against the said property for the cost of said removal;
declaring this to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of
the public health. and safety.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD? FLORIDA.
That , that certain building situated on Lot 14 Blk 4 Tier 1, of the City of
Sanford, Florida,be, and it is hereby, condemned as unsafe unsightly and dangerous
to public health and safety.
BE IT RESOLVED , that, that certain building situated on the rear of Lot 2,
Bl k. 3, Tier 4, of the City of Sanford Florida, be, and the same is hereby, con-
damned as unsafe, unsightly and dangerous to the public health and safety.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the owner or owners of each of the above described
buildings be notified by the City Manager of the City of Sanford, Florida, to remove
each of the said buildings within the period of thirty days from the passage of this
resolution, or, upon their failure or refusal so to do, that the City Manager, be, and
he Is hereby authorized and directed to remove each of the said buildings at the ex-
pense of the owner thereof, and that in the event of the removal by the City Manager,
of the said buildings, or either of them , that a lien be filed on the lots upon which the

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this is an ealbrgency measure necessary for
the immediate preservation of public health and safety, to take effect immediately
upon its final passage and adoption.
The above and foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Lake,
who moved its adoption, seconded by Commissioner Henry, this 28th day of August
A.D.1922, and upon vote was passed as follows:

The above and foregoing resolution was placed upon a second reading
and read this ,,_Day of A.D.1922, whereupon Commissioner Lake moved its
adoption. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Henry, and upon vote the same was
