Ueeting called to order by Mayor C.E. Henry at 8 P.M.
Present: C.E. Henry, S 0 Chase and Forrest Lake, Commissioners, C.J. Ryan,
City Manager, G. G. Herring, City Attorney, F#:T.Ailliams, City Engineer.

read and approved.
".,:r B W Herndon, came before the Commission asking for sewer extension on
Union Ave. and Normany Square. The matter was referred to the City Engineer fOr in-
vestigation and report at next regular meeting with estimate of cost.
:fir F T Williams read communication from the Sanford Chamber of Commerce wAkoh
was laid over for further consideration, and the Auditor & ,Clerk instruoted to write
the Chamber in reference to same expressing the Commission's appreciation of their
interest in the matter.
Mr G G Herring &sked the Com.�:i ssion to consider appropriating a sum to adver-
tising the City of Sanford at the American Legion convention to be held at New Orleans
La. On motion Commissioner Forrest Lake, seconded by Corur.issioner, S.O. Chase, the
Commission Agreed to appropriate X100.00 for this purpose, to be paid from any fund
available for same.
Commissioner Forrest Lake moved, .;.nd it was seconded by Commissiotiar, S.O.
Chase and passed unanimously that the City t:anaoer bt and he is hereby duthorized to
advertise for bids on sewer construction eaid matarial.
Ordinance #37 was (then placed upon its second reading, and final massage.

AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION, AND
MAKING THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR A.D.1922.
Thereupon Commissioner Forrest Lake Moved its adoption.

AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER let A. D.1 °22 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30th A. D.1923,.BASED UPON
THE ESTIMATED INCOME FROM ALL SOURCES FOR THE PERIOD AFORESAID, AND DECLARING THIS
TO BE AN EMERGENCY MEASURE NECESSARY FOR THE USUAL DAILY OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL
GOVERNMENT.
WHEREAS, The estimated income for the City of Sanford, Florida for the Fiscal year

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA '
SECTION 1, That�;there shall be appropriated out of the income of the City of
Sanford, Florida for the .Fiscal Year beginning October 1st, 1922, and ending September

SECTION 2, That this Ordinance shall be published once ten days hefore its final
passage and adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Sanford
Florida-.
SECTION 3, That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the
usual daily operation of the Municipal Government, and shall become effective from and
after the date of its final passage andadoption.
The foregoing ordinance was offered by Commissioner, Forrest Lake, who moved
its adoption, and seconded by Commissioner, S 0 Chase.. this 11th day of September

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 183 OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA, PFL ;913 IN REFERENCE TO THAT CERTAIN PROTION OF TjiE FIRE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF SANFORD? FLORIDA NORTH OF UNION AVENUE, DEFINING THE EASTERN BOUNDARY
OF SAID FIRE LIMITS AND CHANGING. THE EAS`T'ERN BOUNDARIES OF THE FIRE LIMITS LYING
NORTH OF UNION AVENUE AND BETWEEN SAID UNION AVENUE AnD LAKE MONROE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AND DECLARING THE EASTERN BOUNDARY OF SAID FIRE LIMITS LYING NOR'T'H
OF UNION AVENUE AND BETWEEN UNION AVENUE AND LAKE MONROE TO BE AS FOLLOWS. " BEGINNING
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF UNION AVENUE AT THE WESTERN IN'T'ERSECTION OF CYPRESS AVENUE AND

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA.
SECTION 1, That Section 183 of Chapter 8, of the Revised Ordinwnces of the City of Sanford
Florida, 1913, establishing the fire limits of the City of Sanford, Florida, be "amended
in so far .as the Eastern Boundary of the Fire limits lying north of Union Avenue in the (�
City of Sanford, Florida is concerned, and declaring the Eastern Boundary of the fire lim-
its lying north of Union Avenue *in the City of Sanford, Florida, to be as follows;
"Beginning at the intersection of the West line of Cypress Ave. with the North line of
Union Avenue, run North parallel with the West line of Cypress Avenue to South line of
3East Street, thence west parallel with the south line of East Street to the Center of al*
Alley west, of Block 1C, Chapman & Tucker's Addition, thence north to the shores,of Lake
Monroe."
SECTION 2.. That this ordinance shall .be published once within ten days after its final
paesage in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Sanford, Florida.
SEC'T'ION 3, That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the
immediate preservation of public property and safety and shall becou:e. effective from
and after the date of its final pa:_6age and adoption.
The above and foregoing ordinance was offered by Commissioner Forrest Lake, who moved
its adoption, this 25th day of September A.D.1 -22,. and seconded by Commissioner, S. 0. Chase
and upon a vote the sarre was unanimously passad as follows this 25th day of September,

that the requirements of a second Reading of the above and foregoing Ordinance at another
regular meeting of the City Commission, not less than seven days from this date, shall
