Communication from John D Jinkins et al, re; paving On French Ave, read and ordered filed. Mr Lincoln came before the Commission requesting lights on City Doak to accomodate new steamer, boat -line. The City Manager was authorized to place lights as needed. The following resolution was offered: RESOLUTION -� Resolution authorizing, empowering and directing the City Manager to sign an order blank with the Dixie Culvert & Metal Co. for four hundred sanitary toilets. WHEREAS, the city of Sanford, Florida, did, through its City Commissioners on October 24th 1922, pass a resolution authorizing the purchase of four hundred - sanitary toilets from the Dixie Culvert & Metal Company on the terms ,in said Resolution set- forth; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary now to sign an order Blank with the said Dixie Culvert & Metal Company for the said four hundred (400) toilets; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CI`l''Y OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: That the City '�`anager be, and he is hereby fully authorized, empowered and directed to sign an order blank for four hundred (400) salitary toilets on behalf of the City of Sanford, Florida. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: That the Mayor of the City of Sanford, Florida, be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to execute for the City of Sanford, Florida, proper satisfaction of mortgages held by the City of Sanford, Florida, as specified and enumerated in the contract entered into on the 30th day of October A.D.. 1922, between the Lade Front Improvement Company a Florida corporation, and the City of Sanford, Florida, the said Sa tisfactions of mortgages to be signed by the Mayor on behalf of the City of Sanford, Florida, the corporate seal of the City to be fixed thereto and attested by the City Auditor and Clerk, and the same to be acknowledged by the Mayor of the City of Sanford., Florida, who is hereby authorized and empowered to do all the acts and thin¢ necessary and proper to be done by the City in order to make complete bhd effectual the aforesaid satisfaction of mortgages, and the same to be delivered by the said Mayor upon the compliance by the Lake Front Improvement company, a cprporation, of the matters and things stipulated and agreed in the contract aforesaid of October 30th A.D.1922, to be done and performed by the Lake Front Improvement Company, and es- pecially upon the delivery to the Mayor of k properly executed conveyance from the Lake Front improvement Company to the City pf 6an2) rd, Florida, conveying those certain pieces or parcels of real estate in said contract mentioned and described and stipulated to be conveyed to the City of Sanford, Florida. Commissioner Forrest -take moved and it was seconded by S 0 Chase and carried unanimously that the City Tlana�er be, and he is hereby authorized to re- advertise for bids on sewer construction and material for sewers as per plans and specifications now on file in the amity Office. Commissioner S 0 Chase moved and it was seconded by C E henry, and unanimously passed that the 11unicipal Library Building be located in the cen- ter of the City park between Eighth and Ninth St. , and Park and Oak Avenues* and that the City Engineer proceed to make the preliminary survey for same. at once. Communication from citizens of Georgetown re; better water service for fire protection was read and ordered filed, and the City Manager was instructed to place a well of sufficient size and capacity to afford water for this pur- pose, at, or abouth the intersection of Locust Ave. and Seventh St. at once. City Engineer F T Williams presented plat of Spencer Heights for consid- eration of the Commission and on motion duly seconded same was ordered record- ed in City Plat book. Communication from City Lngineer re; French Ave., Sanford, Ave. and West First St. paving was read and laid over for future consideration. Report of the City Manager for October was read, accepted and ordered filed, and the City Manager was authorized to, instruct the Southern Utilities Co. to proceed with water main extension using only 6 inch mains and install 22 addition- al fire hydrants.
