Call to Order and Roll Call There was no Roll Call Members present - Jerry Mills, Laura Straehla, Laura Sollien, Buck Mullins, Don Moore, Michael Skat, 011ie Williams, and Cal Conklin. II. Excused /Unexcused Absences Chris Cranias and Helen Stairs were Excused III. Applications for Certificate of Appropriateness COMMERCIAL a) 111 East First Street - Install Entrance Jerry Mills made a motion to approve the entrance. Don Moore seconded, motion carried unanimously. b) 207 Magnolia Avenue - Repair Marquee Laura Straehla made a motion to table the application due to lack of information. Michael Skat seconded, motion carried unanimously. c) 230 North Park Avenue - Window Sign Laura Straehla made a motion to approve the window sign. Jerry Mills seconded, motion carried unanimously. d) 118 South Sanford Avenue - Signage Jerry Mills made a motion to table the application due to lack of information. Don Moore seconded, motion carried unanimously. e) 118 South Sanford Avenue - Privacy Fence Jerry Mills made a motion to approve the fence with conditions that the applicant follow the Residential Fence Requirements. Laura Straehla seconded, motion carried unanimously. RESIDENTIAL a) 306 West Sixth Street - Paint Exterior Laura Straehla made a motion to approve the paint. Motion carried unanimously. b) 613 Magnolia - Paint Exterior Mike Skat made a motion to approve the paint. Laura Straehla seconded, motion carried unanimously. c) 810 South Myrtle - Install Picket Fence Laura Sollien made a motion to approve the fence. Buck Mullins seconded, motion carried unanimously. d) 709 South Oak Avenue - Paint Shingles Jerry Mills made a motion to approve the paint. Laura Straehla seconded, motion carried 6/2. Michael Skat and Laura Sollien voted Nay. e) 717 South Park Avenue - Paint Back Porch Buck Mullins made a motion to approve the paint. Laura Straehla seconded, motion carried unanimously. f) 911 South Palmetto Avenue - Demolish /Renovation Proposal Buck Mullins made a motion to table the application due to lack of representation. Laura Straehla seconded, motion carried unanimously. g) 213 Laurel Avenue - Walk in Renovation Proposal Jerry Mills made a motion to approve one double -hung wood window. Laura Sollien seconded, motion carried unanimously. IV. Request for Outdoor Display at Antique Depot Mall. Laura Sollien approved the concept during the Informal Historic Meeting with DeLand on 6/22/95. Approval was subject to a 3 -4 month trial period. V. Acknowledgment of Minor Review Committee Actions. Discussion was held regarding a lack of owner /applicant signatures on the Certificates of Appropriateness submitted by Sanford Main Street. Signatures will need to be obtained for completeness. VI. Update on Meeting with DeLand Historic Preservation Meeting. Andrew Van Gaale and Laura Sollien gave a brief update. VII. Other Business Laura Sollien and Charles Rowe discussed the issue of Code Enforcement. No conclusion was reached. Andrew Van Gaale will be researching issue and prepare update for the next meeting on 8/3/95. VII. Meeting Adjourned.
