The meeting was called to order at 4:30 P.M.
Ms. Goeb moved to approve the Minutes as circulated. Seconded by
Mr. Skat. All in favor. Motion carried.
APPLICATIONS FOR CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS
RESIDENTIAL:
314 West 3rd Street - Enclose Back Porch with Matching Siding:
After discussion regarding compatible windows and a door, Mr. Moore
moved to approve. Seconded by Mr. Gross. All in favor. Motion
carried.
422 Palmetto Avenue - Demolish House: Joy Lewis was present for
representation. She stated that the Church did not have funds to
make major changes on this house. She requested that the Church be
allowed to demolish the house and put in landscaping, park benches,
a volleyball court, and open it up to the community. With
discussions regarding a site plan, a landscape architectural plan,
and with reservations on demolition, Mr. Moore moved to table until
the Church could provide a detailed plan. Seconded by Ms. Goeb.
All in favor. Motion carried.
615 Palmetto Avenue - Approve Design for New Construction: Mr.
Gross moved to accept the residence as per the drawings submitted
to the Board based on the review of plans by Mr. VanGaale.
Seconded by Mr. Moore. Ms. Farrell abstained. All others in
favor. Motion carried.
203 East 10th Street - Remove Stucco on Column Bases, Replace
Decking on Front Porch with T & G, Install Porch Railings and
Paint: Jennifer Singeisen was present. Mr. Skat moved to approve.
Seconded by Ms. Goeb. Mr. Singeisen abstained. All others in
favor. Motion carried.
705 Magnolia Avenue - Accept House (Completed Stucco Job): After
discussion regarding the inconsistency of the stucco with the
District, Mr. Gross moved to accept it as it is. Seconded by Mr.
Singeisen. Mr. Skat opposed. Motion carried.
1015 Elm Avenue - Replace Asphalt Shingle Roof with Tin Roof: Mr.
Skat moved to approve. Seconded by Mr. Gross. All in favor.
Motion carried.

Column: Hamid R. Pakniat and Steve Balint were present. Mr. Skat
moved on approval. Seconded by Ms. Goeb. All in favor. Motion
carried.
119 West 5th Street - Install New Lettering on Building: Mr. Skat
moved on approval. Seconded by Mr. Singeisen. All in favor.
Motion carried.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF MINOR REVIEW COMMITTEE ACTIONS: After
discussion regarding the aluminum siding at 312 and 320 Oak Avenue,
the windows at 506 Palmetto Avenue, and the vinyl siding at 1209
Oak Avenue, Mr. Skat moved for approval of the Minor Review
Committee actions. Seconded by Ms. Stairs. All in favor. Motion
carried.
The Board acknowledged and appreciated letters from the Ritz
Theater and Quantum Architecture.
It was decided that Alicia Clarke, Curator of the Museum, would
receive copies of the agendas.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:30 P.M.
