Mr. Mills. All in favor. Motion carried.
(Mr. Singeisen entered the meeting.)
Next on the Agenda was the review of the HPB Goals and Objectives
Worksession: Mr. Skat stated that a few of the things discussed
that the Board really wanted to start pursuing was the waiving of
permit fees within the District, utilizing the Certified Local
Government to get grant monies for some of the projects that we
want to do, and work on the Community Preservation Award Program.
Another item discussed was extending the District and seeing if the
Trust was interested in doing this as a joint effort. Also
discussed was the Board's relationship with Code Enforcement.
Next on the Agenda was the letter from the Ritz Theater. Mr. Skat
stated that he had discussed with the City Manager that when
situations arise such as the one at the last meeting, under other
business would be the appropriate time to discuss things such as
this.
Ms. Goeb noted that Main Street's, Streetscape Committee had
decided to seek professional help as to different types of
lighting, garbage cans, park benches, things such as this. The 2nd
Street sewer project was discussed as to the bricked street. There
would be a 20 to 25% loss of brick. Two ideas regarding the brick
street were 1, brick the intersections of the street and 2, brick
the parking areas and black top the centers.
No comments were made regarding the Main Street minutes.
Plaques were presented to Ms. Stairs and Mr. Mills in appreciation
as members of the Historic Preservation Board.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:00 P.M.
