The meeting was called to order at 4 :30 P.M. by Ms. Sollien.
Mr. Moore moved on approval ofthe Minutes of November 13, 1997. Seconded by Mr. Skat. All
in favor. Motion carried.
The first item on the Agenda was an application for a Residential Certificate of Appropriateness: 215
West 5' Street - Install Wood Privacy Fence and Relocate Chain Link Fence. Dixie Flanagan was
present representing this request. She stated that there had been chain link fencing on the sideyard
and she wanted to have privacy fencing. She removed the chain link and replaced it with the privacy
fence because of the above ground pool_ She stated that she placed the chain link fence on the other
side of her home for safety reasons and for a play area. There was much discussion regarding the
height of the privacy fence in front and the placement ofthe fence near the alley. Ms. Flanagan stated
that she would be willing to set the fence back even with the porch. Mr. Skat moved to approve the
privacy fencing being set back even with the porch and based on the hardship related to the hotel in
the rear and replacing the chain link fence with picket fencing equal on both sides of the house.
Seconded by Ms. Goeb. All in favor. Motion carried.
Next on the Agenda was the consideration ofthe Acknowledgment ofthe Minor Review Committee

Street - Install Door. Mr. Singeisen moved to approve. Seconded by Mr. Skat. All in favor. Motion
carried.
Ms. Sollien proposed to table the discussion regarding BPB projects because of Mr. VanGaale's
absence and she not feeling well All others agreed. She reported that the Church Leaders were
having a meeting on Tuesday, 4:00, at the Cultural Arts Center.
It was unanimously decided that Mr. Yosefian be notified that the tables and chairs and the hot dog
stand is not in compliance with the Certificate of Appropriateness.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:30 P.M.-
