REGULAR ANNUAL MEETING OF CITY COMMISSION
Tuesday, January 2,1923 at 8 P.M,
Presentf Commissioner S. 0 Chase, Commissioner Forrest Lake, and Commissioner
Elect, C J Marshall, City Atty. G G Herring, and City Manager. C J Ryan.
Meeting called to order by Commissioner Lake, Commissioner Elect, C J Marshall
after being duly sworn and signing the acceptance of his office entered upon the duties
Of same.
Commissioner SQ6rChase nominated Commissioner Forrest Lake for Mayor for the
ensuing term, which
was duly seconded by Commissioner 0
J Marshall and
carried.

the acceptance
of the office
of Mayor, entered upon the dufies of same.
The following resolution was offered:
RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS. The Honorable C E Henry, Mayor of the City of Sanford, Florida. has served
the City as City Commissioner and Mayor faithfully and efficiently during his term of
office; and
WHEREAS, his term of office expires January 2nd. 1923, and
WHEREAS, we regret to lose the services of so faithful and efficient a public ser-
vant, and appreciate fully the service he has rendered gratis to the City of Sanford,
Florida, for a period of three years time; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA
That we regret the loss of the service to the City of Sanford, Florida. of so
faithful and efficient a Commissioner as 0 E Henry, and that we desire to express
for the City of Sanford, Florida, our appreciation of the unselfish service rendered
by the Honorable C E Henry as Mayor and City Commissioner.
The above and foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Chase, who
moved its adoption, and seconded by Commissioner Lake this 2nd day of January 1923
and upon vote the same was passed this 2nd day of January 1923, as follows:
