A Resolution requesting the War Department of the Unite& States of America to fix and
establish a Harobor die along the north side of the City of 'anb rd, in ' Sominols 04SAU
Florida, between said Oity and hake Monroe and the St, Johns River, a navigable strsm
WHER]US, The City of Sanford is bordered on the north by the St Johns Rive and $rake
Monroe, a navighbl e - st resat , and
WHEREAS, considerable bulkheading and improvements have been made along the amore line
of said rfiver and lake north of said City, and such more being now contemplated, and.
WHEREAS, it is deemed desirable that all s ah bulkheading and improvements be estab -
lished on a uniford line projecting into said lake and river,
THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the City Commissioners of the City of Sanford, Florida,
that the War Department of the United States of America, be, and it is hereby requested
and urged to fix and establish along the north side of the city of '�anfb rd, Florida,
and between said City and Lake Monroe and St. Johns River on the north, a harbor line,
uniform, and running parallel with the channel of said stream and the north boundary
of said City.

resolution be placed upon its second reading and final passage, which motion was
seconded by Commissioner C J Marshall, and unanimously passed. Said resolution was
then placed upon its seoond reading and read by title only this 12th day of February
.D,1923. Whereupon Commissioner, S.O.Chase moved its adoption. This motion was seconded

width of 26 feet from Mill Creek west to Yoplar Ave., a width of 24 feet from
Poplar Ave. West to Jassamin Ave., and 18 feet in width from Jassamine Ave. west
to City Limits.
BE IT RESOLVED, That the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, deems it
advisdble to improve, grade and pave with vitrified brick or other hard surfaoe
erial, the following street in the City of Sanford, Florida, to -wit:
Vest First Street, a width of 26 ft. from hill Creek West to Poplar Ave., a
dth of 24 feet from Poplar Ave., west to Jassamine Ave., and a width of 18 feet
from Jassamine Ave. west to City Limits.
All of said improving, grading and paving aball be done in oomplianoe with the
estimates for said work on said street as indicated by oomplete plans, speoifioations,
profiles and estimates of said proposed improvements nown on file &n the office of
e City Manager of Sanford, Florida, which said plans, speoifi oationg, profiles and
estimates have been heretofore approved by the City Commission and conetttute the
plans and speoifioations for said work; and this Commission hereby declares the ne-
3essity for doing said work on said street and that this resolution is an emergency
measure, providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department.

The method of making said special assessments shall be basted upon the

as aforesaid, as provided by par. C. of Sec. 156, of Chapter -8361, Laws of Florida,
of 1919, the same being the City Charter of Osnford, Ploridq# Florida That is to say,
50% of the Cost of replacing the present brick pavement.now in use on Firot-5t.

portion to the frontage thereon.
That said speeial assessments shall be payable at the option of the property
owners as follows; either in full within thirty days after the completion of the work.,
or in ten equal annual installments with interest at the rate of eight per cent, from th
date of.the completion of said improvements,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution is hereby declared to be an emer-
genoy resolution, providing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department of
the City of banford, Florida, &led shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
