ToWilliama Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Communication from - Chamber of Commerce re: Library location read and Commissione3 C J Marshall moved, and it was seconded by Commissioner S 0 Chase that the Sanford Library Association be, and they are hereby requested to purchase for the purpose of locating the Sanford Municipal Library building Lots 4 & 5 Blk 12 Tr. 4, of E.R.Trafford's Map. of Sanford, from the Meiseh Realty Co. at the price of $2.500.0Q Said Motion was unanimously passed and the Clerk instructed to notify the Library,A Association of this Action. The Commission authorized the Cler k to cancel 1922 taxes on the prop erty,of M Hanson as to that part of same not lying in City Limits and assessed in error at at a valuation of 019500.009 Taxes 027.00 Also personal Prop. 250.00 " 4.50 Total taxes cancelled. 31.50 City Manager presented contract with the Dixie Culvert Co. , Atlanta Ga. for .purchase of 250 Health Guard Toilets and extra pails and lids, which on-motion was duly Approved. Communication from Municipal Judge regommending the remitting of x$150.00 of fine imposed upon Susie Anna Chapman, owing to her physioal condition, also that the fine imposed upon I.W.Harpep be reduced to x$250.00, owing to recent ruling of the ,supreme Court. Upon motion duly seconded and passed the Judgets recommendations were approved in both cases and the Clerk of the Municipal Court instructed to so enter upon the Municipal Record, City. Attorney J J Dickinson rendered opinion in the matter of placing the Municipal Library in one of the Public Parks as requested by the City Com- mission, and same was ordered filed. See Page 3500 Resolution and Ordinance Book. City Engineer presented plat of " Pace Acres" and on motion duly sedond:ed and passed same was accepted and ordered recorded in the City Plat Book. City Manager W.B.Williams reported that Mr Geo. G.Herring had Nerved him with notice of suit filed by him against the City in the amount of $5,000.00 damages. City Manager reported that he had appointed G.P.Paxton as Plumbing Inspector for the C at a salary of $10,00 per month. On motion said action was approved. The Commission proceeding as Equalizing Board to hear cl aims and complaints on proposed assessment for paving of Park Ave. from Fulton St. to Lake Monroe':, Commercial, St. from Vark Ave. to P almetto B /Tenth St. from Oak 4ve. to Myrtle Ave. Sixth St. from Magnolia Ave. to Laurel Ave. Seventh St. from Magnolia Ave. to Mellonvill a Ave., Mellonvill a &vee from Celery Ave. to S. & E. Branch of A.C.Z.Ry, and Cypress Ave. from Union Ave. to Ninth Street. There being no complaints or claims filed, the preliminary assessment was de- .ty th 14 I m . ca m a .7 olared approved. It was moved by Commissioner S 0 Chase, seconded by Commissioner C J Mar. shall that the City Engineer be instructed to make a preliminary survey looking to the Establishment of a Harbor Line on the Lake Front in the Limits of the City Same was unanimously passed.
