SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION
MONDAY MAY 7,1923 at 2 P.M.
Present: Commissioner Forrest Lake ( Mayor) Commissioners, S 0 Chase. and
C J Marshall, City Manager, W B Williams, City Attorney, J J Dickinson.
Meeting called for purpose of considering drafted amendments to City Charter.
The following changes were agreed on:
Page 2, Sao. 7. of typewritten copy, last line of section, strike out "And beyond" and
insert " Or without"
Page 6, Soo. 8, Strike entire section, and substitute therefor, Sao. 9 of Present Charter,
Page 9, sea. 20, 1st. line Strike words " Prior to 1926."
Page 10, Soo. 23, First Line Strike out word "May" and insert "Shall."
Page 11, Seo. 26, Line 7 Strike " For a term of one year unless sooner removed for
cause" and insert " at the pleasure of the City Commission"
Page 132 Soo. 34, Line 8 Insert. " And perform such other duties as the City Commission
May Require."
Page 18, Sec. 57 Strike out entire section, and insert Section 92 & 93 of Present charter
Pie 44, Sao. 122, Lin_ e 4 Add " or Subways" Line 11 after viaduct, add "Subway."
