REGULAR MEETING OF CITY COMMISSION' MOXDAY MAY 28,1923 Present: Commissioner Forrest Laks, Mayor, Commissioners S 0 Chase and C J Marshall City Manager W B Williams, City Attorney J J Dickinson, City Engineer , Fred T Williams City Physician, W T Langley. Minutes of last regular meeting read and approved. Communication from Municipal Judge J G Sharon, recommending that the fined against Sam Wynn be reduced to $150.00, John Wynn, fine reduced to $100.00, in consideration of time already served. On motion duly seconded and passed the recommendation of the Judge was approved and the Chief of Police authorized to release the prisoners upon the payment of amounts stated. Communication from Mr C H Leffler Re: devoting a page in the Minute Book to the Recording of the names of the Confederate Veterans now lying in Lake View Cemetery was read and on motion duly seconded and passed the Clerk was instructed to have the names so recorded, leaving space for additional names. Page .#552 was devoted to that purpose. Mr C H Lefflerwas requested to inscribe said names on this page- Communication from Mr W T Donnelly addressed to Mr F T Williams was read and referred to the Chamber of Commerce. City Physician Dr W T Langley reported some oases of contagious diseases in the City not properly reported to his office as y #dcd#j #d. by ordinances. The Clerk was in- struoted to send a copy of Sec. 344 & 345 to all physicians in the City and request them to comply with its provisions at once. so� It was moved by Commissioner C J Marshal that the City pay to the Fernald; Lawton Hospital bills for such patients as shall be placed there by the orders of the City Physicians, and that the Clerk write Mr T W Lawton relative to a special rate oa such charges c`-41 Mr Thomas MoMinn representing the Martinert Adv. Co. making proposition to place 15 or more trash cans on corners of streets located by order of the City Manager in accord with contract to be submitted later upon approval of the City Attorney.
