SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION
MONDAY SEPTEMBER 171 1923 3 P.M.
The City Commission met at 3 O'clock P,M. Sept 17th. to received bide for the
construction of Dock and Boat Basin as advertised.
Present, Commissioners Forrest Lake ( Mayor) S 0 Ch ase and C J Marshall
City Engineer F T �rilliams, and City Manager W B Williams.
Bids from the following contractors were opened:
R J Galespi 219 mains. St Jacksonville, Fla.
Interstate Contracting Co. Sanfbrd, Florida.
All bids being in excess of the estimate, it was moved by Commissioner C J Marshall
and seononded by Commissioner S 0 Chase and unanimously carried, that same be rejected,
and the City Manager authorized to construct dock and boat basin at a price mot to exceed
the appropriation.
Communication from State Board of Health requesting City to have representative
attend Sanitary School to be held in Jacksonville was read, and upon motion duly seconded
Dr W T Langley, City Health Officer was authorized to attend at City's expense.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
