Minutes of last regular meeting and Special Meeting of October 10th. read and
approved.
The following bids on partial construction of Dock & Boat Basin were read:
Donahoo & Sons, of Jacksonville, Fla.
R J Gallespie, of Jacksonville, Fla.
after due consideration the bid of R J Gallespie was accepted and the City Manager
was -authorized to execute contract on the part of the City on receipt of approving
opinion from the City Attorney as to legality of same.
Upon motion duly passed, the City Manager was directed to write Mr G C Fellows
the 'following letter:
"I am directed by resolution of the City Commissioners to authorize and bind
the City to pay one half of the assessrfint for the paving of Palmetto Ave that may be
assessed against certain lands on Palmetto Ave. now owned by G C Fellows and described
as follows: All that part of Block "A" South of the Sanford & Everglades Ry. in
Markham Park Heights."
This.payinent to be made by the City in consideration of said grantors
having,,executed and delivered,to the City a deed to the right -of -way, for the extension
of Palmetto Ave, through the lands to be assessed for the paving thereof.
Therefore by authority tested in me, I hereby agree that the City of Sanford
will pay one -half of the assessments that may be made against the said lands for the
paving of Palmetto Ave, abutting and fronting thereon. Also, I will have a garage moved
off said Palmetto Ave.

and upon approval of the City Engineer same were accepted and ordered recorded in the
City Plat Book.
Communication from T L Dumas, Supt. inclosing contract from the A.C.L.Ry. Co.
re: Palmetto Ave. Crossing, was read and same was referred to City Attorney for action.
Commissioner S 0 Chase moved and it was seconded by Commissioner C J Marshall
and passed unanimously that the following be appointed as City Park Commissioners, of
which the Mayor shall be Ex Officio Member.

TherClerk was instructed to notify them of their appointment.
Commissioner S 0 Chase moved and it was seconded by Commissioner C J Marshall
and passed unanimously that the following be appointed as the City Planning Committee

Member.

Inc, of St. Petersburg Fla. in the sum of not exceeding $500.00 to sink not less than mine
