Commissioner S 0 Chase offered Resolutions #137 -A to 137 -E Inclusive,requiring
the construction of certain sidewalks in the City of Sanford and upon motion duly sec-
onded and passed said resolutions were adopted by the City Commission.

On motion duly seconded and passed the City Attorney was instructed to settle paving

Thereupon Commissioner C J Marshall offered Resolution #138 entitled:
"A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing
of Twelfth St. from Sanford Ave. west to French Ave., a width of 24 feet.".
Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading. of said resolution, the
question was put on the adoption of said resolution. Those voting in favor of the passage
and adoption of said resolution were: Commissioner S 0 Chase, Forrest Lake, and C J Marsha:
Those voting against the passage and adoption of said resolution were Commissioners, None
Thereupon the Chairman of the Commission announced that the City Commission of the
City of Sanford, Florida, had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution num-
bered #138, entitled,
It A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard-

Commissioner C J Marsh; ll offered Resolution #139, entitled:
"A Resolution provding for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re-hardsur facing
of Ninth St. from Park Avenue west to Holly Ave., a width of 30 feet.
Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of said resol -.tion
the question was put on the adoption of said resolution. Those voting in favor of the
passage of said resolttion the question was put on the adoption of said Resolution.
Those voting in favor of the passage and adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners
Forrest Lake, S 0 Chase and C J Marshall. Those votir:g against the passage adn adoption
of said resolution were: Commissioners None.
Thereupon the Chairman of the Commission announced that the City Commission of
the City of Sanford, Florida had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution
numbered 139 entitled:
"A resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re- hardsurfacing
of Ninth St. from Park Ave. west to Holly Ave. a width of 30 feet."

Thereupon the Chairman of the Commission announced that the City Commission of the
City of Sanford, Florida had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution
nurrbered 140 entitled:
" A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard sur
facing of Highland Street from Sanford Ave. to Park Ave., a width of 24 feet."
On motion duly seconded and passed, the City Commission authorized the transfer
of all its rights north of concrete retaining wall with reference to alley between
palmetto Ave. and Sanford Ave. with the exception of use under a ina for sa:rera,gy
outlet in exchange for the south 12 ft. of property of Clyde Steamship Co. fronting
on Commercial St. , between Palmetto Ave. and Sanford Ave.;and the City Attorney was
instructed to draw up necessary papers.
E F Housholder and W C Hill came before the Commission relative to Shrine Cere-
monial to be held in the City on Thursday May 22nd. and requested a donation toward
decorating and entertainment expenses; and on motion,duly seconded and passed, the
Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant for $200.00 for this purpose.
On motion duly seconded and passed the Clerk was instructed to draw a warrant
in favor of the Chamber cf Commerce for three months appropriation in advance covering
the months of May., June, and July 1924.

On motion, the bid of Victor Schmeltz & Son on the house was accepted, and
contract so awarded on condition that contractor furnish a good and sufficient bond
and the City Manager was authorized to complete the remainder of the work.
On motion duly seconded and passed, the City Manager was authorized to purchase
ticket for return of indigent family Phillips to Georgia and make bill against
Seminole County for half the expense of same.
Bids on pumping outfit for the municipal golf course were then opened. The
following bids were read.

Agreement as to construction of pavement in Rose Court between Hutton Engineering
Company and Rose Court Inc. was received and filed.
Upon recommendation of the Municipal Judge in the case of J B Wainright case #5390
3/24/24 fined 025.00 and costs , having served 15 days, the Clerk was instructed
to remit to said J B `�ainright half of said fine, - $12.50

to pay same.

The Fidelity Bonds of Forrest Lake, S 0 Chase, and C J Marshall, City Commissioners
of the City of Sanford, Florida, ex- officio members of the Board of Bond Trustees
with United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company, a corporation of Baltimore , Maryl
as surety thereon, each of said bonds being in the sum of Fifteen Hundred ($1500.00)
Dollars, conditioned upon the faithful perforna nce by the said Forrest Lake, S 0 Cha
and C J Marshall, of the duties devolviAg upon them as Bond Trustees in connection wi
an issue of bonds of the City of Sanford, Florida in the sum of Seventy -two Thousand
Dollars, duly executed by each of said bond trustees, being presented, and the City
Attorney advising that said bonds were in correct legal form and properly executed, a
said Fidelity Bonds of said Forrest Lake, S 0 Chase, and C J Marshall, as bond trustees
as aforesaid, were duly approved.
The matter of the equalization of paving assessments under Resolution loo. 126
against property fronting on Hibiscus Court and Lily Court coming on to be heard and
the same having been duly considered all preliminary assessments covering property
fronting on Hibiscus Court and Lily Court and Lily Court were ordered to be reduped
in order to firly equalize the proportionate part of the cost of said pavement in
front of park ways in Hibiscus Court and Lily Court, and it was ordered that the
Preliminary Assessments against all property fronting upon Hibiscus Court and Lily
Court be credited proportionately, according to foot frontage, in an amount equal to
one-half
of
the cost
of the
construction of said pavement along and in front of the
Park ways
in
Hibiscus
Court
and Lily Court.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
