Minutes of la-st'Regular and Special Meeting read and approved. Communication from City Attorney Re: Final Assessments, was read and filed. Communication from City Attorney Re; F D McBride case read and filed. Commissioner_ C J Marshall intorduced Resolution #154, entitled; "A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving , hard surfacing and re -hard surfaci of Twelfth Street from Sanford Avenue to Park Avenue, a width of 24 feet." Thereupon said Resolution was read in full. Upon the r eading of said Resolution the question was put on the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the passage and adoption of said resolution were Commissioners Forrest Lake and C J Marshall. Those voting against the passage and adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners None. Thereupon the Chairman of the Commission announced that the City Commission of Sanford, Florida had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution, entitled: "A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing of Twelfth Street from Sanford Avenue to Park Avenue a width of 24 feet." Thereupon Commissioner C J Marshall intorduced Resolution #155, entitled: " A Resolution providing for the Paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfaci of Poplar Avenue from First Street to Third Street, a width of 24 feet." Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of said resolution the question was put on the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the passage and adoption of said resolution were Commissioners: Forrest Lake and C J Marshall. Those voting against the passage and adoption of said resolution were Commissioners None. Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the Commission had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution entitled: it A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfaci of Poplar Ave from First St. to Third St., a width of 24 feet. ". Thereupon Commissioner C J Marshall introduced Resolution #156 entitled "A Resolution requiring the Widening,grading and paving of Central Street from Park A to French Ave. to a width of 24 feet instead of 16 feet, as heretofore authorized." Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of said resoluti the question was put on the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the passage and adoption of said resolution were Commissioners Forrest Lake and C J Marshall. Those voting against-the passage and adoption of said resolution were Commissioners: None. Thereupon ,Commissioner C J Marshall intorduced an ordinance numbered 84, entitled: "An Ordinance providing for an issue of bonds by the City of Sanford, Florida in the Sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars, the proceeds to be derived from the sale thereof to be used to build and equip a Municipal Jail." and moved that the same be placed upon its first aeading and read in full. Said motion prevailed by the unaniMous vote of the City Commission, Thereupon said ordinance was p aced upon its first reading and read in full. Thereupon Commissioner C J Marshall mcr,ed that the rules be waived and said ordi- nance be placed upon its second reading an4 final passage, which motion was duly secorded . Mr E F Lane came before the Commission requesting permission for the Sanfor Shrine Club to open the Ball Park, and permission was granted upon condition that the City receive 50% of the receipts. On motion duly passed the City Manager was authorized to advertise for bids on construction of a Municipal Building. Communication from mr Goerge W Knight Re:- Bulkhead proposition was read and filed. The Commission then proceeded to open bids for supplying wood stave pipe fQrtU water works construction and the following bids were opened and read: #1 Redwood Manufacturing Company, having no check enclosed, with same, was not consider ed. #2 A Wycoff &.Sons. Elmira New York #3 Michigan Wood Pipe Company Bay City, Michigan #4 Pacific Tank & Pipe Company Sanfrancisci, Claif. a, ffI #5 Standard Wood Pipe Co., Williamsport, Penn. The following bids on pumping outfit for water works construction were opened and read: #1 Fairbanks & Morse Co. Jacksonville, Fla. #2 D.E.
