NOTICE OF BOND ELECTION.
I
Whereas, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida on the 11th day of
August A.D.1924 duly passed and adopted &izaertain ordinance numbered 81 entitled:
"An rdinance providing for an issue of bonds by the City of Sanford, Florida in
the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars for Municipal Purposes, the Proceeds derived from tY
the sale thereof to be used-to purchas and acquire the necessary lands for a Muni-
cipal cemetery and to improve and develop the lands so purchased to make the same
adaptable for the purpose aforesaid,"
and an ordinance numbered 82, entitled:
"An Ordinance providing for an issue of bonds by the Cityof Sanford Florida, in the
sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars for Municipal Purposes,, the proceeds derived frc
the sale thereof to be used,for the purpose of opening, grading, curbing, paving ane
improving certain stfeets and public thoroughfares in the City of Sanford, Florida,r
and an ordinance numbered 93, entitled:
"An Ordinance providing for an issue of bonds by the City of Sanford,, Florida in the
sum of One Hundred Sixty Five Thousand Dollars for Municipal Purposes, the proceede
derived from the sale thereof to be used to enlarge, improve and extend the sewer-
age system of the Citjr of Sanford, Florida."
and an ordinance numbered 84, entitled:
"An ordinance providing for an issue of bonds by the City of Sanford, Florida in the
sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars, the proceeds to be derived from the sale thereof to
used to build and equip a Municipal Jail."
and
Whereas, said four several ordinances provide for an issue of bonds by the Ci
of Sanford, Florida, for Municipal Purposes in the total sum of Three Hundred Twenty
Five Thousand ($325,000.00) Dollars, the proceeds derived from the sale of 6hid bon
to be expended in the following manner; to -wit:
(A) Under authority of Ordinance No. 81, the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars, to

purchase and acquire the necessary lands for a municipal cemetery and to improve and
develop the lands so purchase to make the same adaptable for the purpose aforesaid
(B) Under authority of ordinance No.92, the sum of One Hundred Thousand Dolla s
for opening, grading, curbing, paving, and improving certain streets and public thor
oughfares in the City of Sanford, Florida.
(C) Under authority of Ordinance No. 93, the sum of one Hundred Sixty Thousanc
Dollars, to enlarge, improve and extend the sewerage system of the City of Sanford,
Florida.
(D) Under authority of �r dinance No. 84, the sum of Fifty Thousand'Dollars ,
to build and equip a Municipal Jail.
All of said bonds to be of the denomination of one Thousand Dollars, each
bearing interest at the rate of Five and One -half per centum (5.1x) per annum, intere
payable on the first days of July and January, each of the aforesaid issue of bonds
to mature thirty years after date of issuance, both principal and interest of said
bonds to be payable at some bank in the City of New York, State of New York, in law-
ful money of the United States of America.
And, Whereas, prior to the issuance of the bonds above described, or any
part thereof, under the Charter of the City of Sanford, Florida, the said ordinances
proposing said several bond issues for the various municipal purposes as aforesaid
must be approved by a majority Vote of the electors of the City of Sanford, Florida

who are qualified to vote as shown by the registration books of the City of Sanford
Florida, voting at an election called and held for that purpose.
Therefore, I, Forrest Lake, as Mayor of the City of Sanford Florida, under
and by vittue of the authority in me vested by the ordinances of the City of Sanford
Florida, and we, Forrest Lake, S 0 Chase and C J Marshall, as the City Commission of
the City-of Sanford, Florida, do hereby call an election to be held in the City of San -
ford Florida on the 22nd day of September A D 1924, to determine the question by said
election then and there held, whether said ordinances proposing the said four sev-
eral bond issues shall be adopted, approved and confirmed by the electors of said City
and whether the bonds provided for by said ordinances shall be issued by the City of
Sanford, Florida in the manner and for the purposes in said ordinances provided and set
forth.
And I, Forrest Lake, as Mayor of the City of Sanford Florida, and we, Forrest Lake
S d Chase and C J Marshall, as the City Commission of the City of Sa nford Florida, do
hereby appoint Susan B Wight, R,�Z Maxwell and Alice Fitts, Inspectors of said election,
and David Speer, Clerk of said Election.
The form of ballot for said election shall be as follows, to -wit:
