Commissioner C J Marshall introduced Resolution #169 entitled:
" A Resolution prescribing the form and details of an issue of Municipal Cemetery.
Bonds in the Sum of Ten Thousand Dollars, the proceeds derived from the sale thereof to
be used to a efray the cost of purchasing and acquiring the necessary lands for a Municipa
Cemetery and to improve and develop the lands so purchased to make the same adaptable
for the purpose aforesaid, providing for the levy of an annual tax upon all taxable prop-
erty within the City of Sanford Florida, sufficient to produce each year the necessary
amount of money to pay the interest o n said bonds and to create a Sinking Fund for the
purpose of the retirement of bonds at the maturity thereof."
and moved its adoption. The roll was ordered called upon the adoption of said resolution
The Commissioners voting in favor of said resolution were Forrest Lake and C J Marshall.&
Commissioner S 0 Chase. Commissioners voting against said Resolution: None.
Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission of the
City of Sanford, Florida had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolution
numbered 169 entitled
"A Resolution prescribing the form and details of an issue of Municipal Cemetery
Bonds in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars, the proceeds derived from the sale thereof to
be used to defray the cost of purchasing and acquiring the necessary lands for a Municipa
Cemetery and to improve and develop the lands so purchased to make the same adaptable
for the purpose aforesaid, providing for the levy of an annual tax upon all taxable
Property within the City of Sanford, Florida, sufficiazd to produce each year the neces-
sary amount of money to pay the interest on said bonds and to create a Sinking Fund for

WEEREAS, in full and strict compliance with all the requirements of law, and at the
time and place designated in said Not.ioe of election, an election was duly held in the
City of Sanford, Florida, on the said-22nd day of September 1924, and as the result of a
said election] the aforesaid ordinance numbered 81 was adopted, approved and-confirmed
by the electors of the City of Sanford, Florida, and by said election it was further
determined that the bonds provided for in said ordinance numbered 81, should be issued � :b

WHEREAS, in strict compliance with the requirements of law, the City Commission

meeting and proceed to canvass the returns and result of said election , and at said

of the adoption, approval and confirmation of said ordinance 81, and in favor of the

THEREFORE, be it resolved that bonds of the City of Sanford, Florida, in the
aggregate sum of Ten Thousand Dollars, provided for by said Ordinance 81, as approved
and confirmed by the electors of; the City olf Sanford, Florida, be issued, said bonds t
bear a rate of interest of five and one -half (5j %) per centum per annum, to be of the
denomination of One Thousand (1000.00) Dollars each, and to be numbered from one (1)`
to Ten('10) both numbers inclusive, to be dated July let, 1924 and to mature July lot,
1954, both principal and interest of said bonds shall be payable at the Chase. National
Bank, in the City New. York, State of New York, in lawful money of the Qnited States
of America, interest payable semi - annually, on January first and July first o +'f each
year, said bonds shall be signed by the Mayor of the City of Sanford, Florida, and shal
have affixed thereto the seal of the City of Sanford, Florida, the interest coupons

the said City of Sanford Florida at an election duly and legally called, held and con-
ducted on the 22nd day of September A.D.1924, the ballots cast at said election and the
vote and returns thereof having been duly canvassed, proclaimed, certified, filed, re-
corded and declared as reuired by law, and also pursuant to certain orders and resolu-
tions of the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, duly had and adopted.
It is herebb certified recited, and declared that all acts, conditions and
things required bb law to exist, happen and be performed, precedent to, and in the is-
suance of this bond, have existed, have happened and have been performed in regular and
due time, form and manner as required by law, and the mount of this bond, together with
all other indebtedness of the City of Sanford, Florida, does not exceed any limit pre-

"Supplementing recommendations of the City Planning Commission for paving of
certain streets, which was recently submitted, please be advised that the Commission has
made further recommendations that every street be paved from. S. and' E. Railroad Branch
on the north, between Park Ave. and Sanford Ave. to anion Ave., and also recommendations
that Tenth Street be paved to Cypress and all other streets from Tenth Street north to
Union�Ave. on the south be paved from Sanford Ave. to. Cypress Ave."
