ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION
MONDAY NOVEMBER 17, 2 P.M.
Present: Commissioners: Forrest Lake, (Mayor) S 0 Chase and C J Marshall.
City Manager W B Williams, Jose. J1 Craig, Consulting Engineer.
Communication from the City Planning commission approving filing of Plats of
Lane's Addition, Lockhartts Dubdivision and J J Cates Addition. Also recommending
removing certain fire Hazards and cleaning up various sections etc. was read and the
City,,Manager was authorized to proceed in accordance with the recommendations contained
in the Communication,.
The City Commission then proceeded to open bids on Gas Holders for new gas Plant.
and the following bids were read:
#1 R D Cole Co. 202190.00
#2 Chicago Bridge & Iron Works 200950.00
#3 Stacey Brothers Gas Construction Co. 19,900.00
#4 Stacey Manufacturing Co. 23,100.00
All Bids were referred to Consulting Engineer Jos E Craig and the City Manager with authorit
to consider and make award of Contract.
All former bids were declared rejected, and the Clerk authorized to return all such
bidders checks.
After due consideration the City Manager and Mr Craig decided that the bid of Stacey
Brothers Gas Construction Co. for $19,900.00 was the lowest and best bid, and awarded the
contract accordingly.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned. ti
