,Minutes of last regular meeting read and aftroved.
Chief of Polio@ R G Williams, came before the Commission and recommended that
the salaries of the following Patrolmen who have been long in the service be increased
from the present salary of $125.00 to $135.00 per month.
On motion duly seconded and passed the Clerk was authorized to make this- " -
change iri -the salary roll to take effect beginning with January Salaries.
Commissioner C I Marshall introduced Resolution #199 -A requiring the oonstructi,
of sidewalk on S. side Commercial St. along Lots D and E of Lake View Park; Resolution
#189 -B requiring construction.of Sidewalk 8 side Commercial St. along: Beg. N E.Cor
Blk 2 Tr 2 Run W. 75 ft. S. 92.4 ft E. 75 ft. S. 82.4 ft. to beg.
Resolution #189 -C requiring construction of sidewalk along S. side Commercial St. along
Lot C. Lake View Park. and Resolution #199 -D on S. Side Commercial St. along Lot "F2
Lake View Park, and moved that same be adopted.
Upon the reading of said resolutions, the question was put upon the adoption,;
of same. Those voting in favor of the passage and adoption of said resolutions, Were
Commissioners Forrest Lake, C J Marshall and S 0 Chase. Those voting against the passage
and adoption of said resolutions were Commissioners None.

Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida had unanisously passed and adopted @had resoluti
Thereupon Commissioner Marshall introduced Resolution #159 entitled:
"A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing -and re -hard surfacing
of Martin Street from Palmetto Ave. to Park Ave., a width of 16 feet."
and moved that same be adopted.
Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of said
resolution the question was put upon the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the
passage and adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners Forrest Lake, C J Marshall
and S 0 Chase. Those voting against the passage and adoption of said resolution were Commi
®inners none.
Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Cora-
mission of the City of Sanford, Florida, had unanimously passed and adopted that certain
resolution entitled:
"A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing
of Martin Street from Palmetb Ave to Park Ave. a width of 16 feet."
Whereupon Commissioner.0 J Marshall intorduced Resolution #190, entitled.:
"A Resolution providing for the paving re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing of
Martin Street, from Sanford Ave. to Palmetto Ave., a width of 20 feet.".
and moved that same be adopted.
Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of scald
Resolution, the question was put upon the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the
Passage and adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners Forrest Lake, C J Marshall
and S 0 Chase, Those voting against the passage and adoption of said resolution were

Commissioners None.
Thereupdn the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission:
of the City of Sanford, Florida had unanimously passed and adopted that certain resolu-
tion entitled:
"A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing
of Martin Street from Sanford Ave. to Palmetto Ave.. a width of 20 feet."
Communication from City Planning Commission Re: certain permits and Plats cf
"Santa Clara" and "Bel -Air" was read and said recommendations approved.
On motion duly seconded and passed the City Engineer and the City Manager were
instructed to proceed at once with the opening nerd grading of Hughey Street from French
Ave. west to City Limits.
Mr Fred R Wilson came before the Commission representing the
Welfare'Board and requesting a monthly appropriation b)D the City to
Commissioner S 0 Chase, moved and it was seconded by Commissioner C
unanimously that a sum of $50.00 per month bV appropriated for this
was instructed to draw a warrant each month for this amount, and oh

There were no complaints filed except as to Spurling Sheets and
this item was continued until the First Meeting in January 1925, all others were
declared equalized and confirmed.
On motion duly seconded and passed, the Commission appointed a Committee
on Radio Broadcasting Station. Accepting Committee suggested by the &"ber of Commerce
adding two names thereto. The following were appointed:
Chairman ; Dr. C J Marshall, S 0 Chase; H R Stevens ; W M Scott and George A,DeCottes,
And requester to make report as early as possible.

The Commission then proceeded as an Equalizing Board to hear complaints or
objections as to the proposed paving of the following Streets in the City of Sanford,, Fla.
Katie Street From Sanford, Ave. to Park Ave. 24 Feet wide
Spurling St. From Sanford Ave. to Park Ave. 16' Peet wide.
N. Park Ave. From and brick pavement to Lake Monroe widened from 32 to 50 feet.
Orange Street From Park ,Ave. to Elm Ave. 24: feet wide.
McCracken Road More particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection
of Goldsboro St. with the unnamed street running southwesterly to
Municipal Golf Course, said street intersection being at the north-
east corner of Lot 18 Robinson Survey of an Addition-to Sanford, Fla.
thence run W. on Goldsboro St. 516 ft. to the center line of an un-
named Avenue running north and south through said Robinsons Additi.
Thence North 852 feet to the center line of a new 50 ft. street along

the norht side of Said Robinsond Addition, thence west to the A C L
R R R/W on the Leesburg Branch, thence southwesterly along the south
side -of said right of way to the west line of Sec. 26 Tp. 19 R. 30 E.
Thence N. 65 ft. to the railroad track on said Leesburg Branch.
Seventh Street From Park Ave to Oak Ave. 24 feet wide.
Fifth St. from Magnolia Ave. to Cypress Ave. 24 Feet wide.
Twelfth St. from Park Ave. to French Ave. 24 feet wide.
Tenth St. from Sanford Ave. to Cypress Ave. 24 feet wide.
Eighth Street From Sanford Ave. to Cypress Ave. 24 feet Wide.
Cypress Ave. From Ninth St. to Tenth St. 24 feet wide.

Eleventh St. From Sanford Ave. to French Ave. 24 feet wide.

The Commission then proceeded to open bids for further street paving. The bid
of the Hutton Construction Company was read;and there being no other bids filed ;om:
motion of Commissioner S 0 Chase, seconded by Commissioner C J Marshall, and passed
unanimously, the bid of the Hutton Construction Company was duly accepted, and the
City Manager was authorized to execute contract on the part of the City of Sanford
Florida
The following bills were read and approved, and the Clerk authorized to draw cheo
to pay same.
