SPECIAL MEETING OF CITY COMMISSION MONDAY FEBRUARY 160 1925
+the City Commission met in pursuance of notice served on R J Gallesois
John Emile, and Ely Dsafttng Company to appear and show cause if any shy their
contract for the construction of a Municipal Dock and Break -water should not be
annulled.
Cdr R J Gallespie accompanied by their attorney, Mr Louie W Strum, of Jaokson vi ;le
Fla. appeared and after explanations, and due discussion and consideration, dttes-
agreed that action on the part of the City of Sanford would be deferred on the assur-
anoe by the Contractor that the work would be speedily pushed forward to an early
completion.
Consulting Engineer, dos. E Craig, appeared before the Commission and called
attention to certain defects and leaks in the water works reservoir, and after con-
sideration, it was agreed that the City Manager should make necessary adjustments
and deduct the expense of same from the oontractor's accounts.
On motion duly seconded and passed, it was agreed that the City Manager
should consult with Commissioner Forrest Lake in all matters pertaining to the
Water Works, and with Commissioner S 0 Chase in all matters pertaining to the Gas Works
and with Commissioner C J Marshall in all matters pertaining to the Sewer System of the
City:
Thresher Brothers came before the Commission asking for certain docking privileges
at the foot of Myrtle.Ave, and the sitter was referred to the City Engineer and City
Attorney for action.
