Minutes of last regular meeting read and approved.
Communication from City Planning Commission Re: moving Hutton Construction,
Company's Asphalt Plant read and referred to City Engineer and City Planning Commissiom
to find a suitable location.
Petition fro#i property owners requesting the paving .of the following streets
with sheet asphalt 24 feet in width: ( Said streets in Franklin Terrace
Franklin Street from Park Ave to French Ave.
Vine Street from Oak Ave. to French Ave.
Oak Street from Hughey to Geneva Ave.
Myrtle Ave. from Franklin Ave. to Geneva Street.
Laurel Ave. from Franklin St. to Geneva St.
Elm Ave. from Franklin St. to Geneva Street.
was read and the City Engineer was authorized to proceed with preliminary work.
Communication from the Junior Chamber of Commerce Re: State Road location
read and filed.

and moved that same be adopted.
Thereupon said resol&tion was read in full. Upon the reading of said resolution
the question was put upon the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the passage and
adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners Forrest Lake, S 0 Chase and C J Marshall
Those voting against the passage and adoption of said resolution were Commissioners :None.
Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Com-
mission of the City of Sanford Florida had by unanimous vote passed and adopted that
certain resoultion #209. as follows:
WHEREASs HUTTON ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING CO. paving contractors, have completed
all pving under contracts 3 -A and 4 between the City of Sanford Florida and the HUTTON
ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING CO. , and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of the City of Sanford, Florida has finally
aocepted all work done and performed by the Said HUTTON ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING CO.
under said paving contracts 3 -A and 4. and
WHEREAS, the Engineering Department of the City of Sanford, Florida. has re
ed to the Commission that all work done and performed by said HUTTON ENGINEERII, & CON-
TRACTING COMPANY, under said paving contracts be finally accepted by the City, and

Whereas, this Commission has caused the:; :completed work of the HUTTON ENGINEERING AND
CONTRACTING CO. under said contracts to be thoroughly inspected, and.
Whereas, said work meets with the approvals of the Engineering Department, therefore,
Be It Resolved that all work done by the HUTTON ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING CO. under
said paving contracts 3 -A and 4, be and the same is hereby finally accepted by this
Commission, and
Be It further Resolved, that the said HUTTON ENGINEERING & CONTRACTING CO. and the Surety
on the bond or bonds of the said Hutton Engineering & Contracting Co. for the faithful
performance of all work contracted to be done and performed by it under said paving
contracts, be and they are hereby released from any further obligation under said
bond or bonds, and said bond or bonds are hereby relinquished and surrendered and from
and after this date shall be of no further force and dffect.

Communication from Hutton Engineering & Contracting Co. relative to above resolution_
read and filed.
On motion duly seconded and adopted, Mr G P Paxton was relieved of his duties as Chief
of the Fire Department, and appointed as City Inspector of plumbing, electrical work and
buildings at a salary of $175.00 per month, and Mack Cleveland Was appointed as Acting
Fire Chief. Said appointments to take effect May 15th Inst.
On motion duly adopted It Evergreen" was selected as the name for the Sanford Municipal
Cemetery.
The reports of the City Manager and City Clerk for April were read , accepted and
filed.
Plats of the Municipal Cemetery, "Longs Addition" "Graceline Court" "Pine Level"
and "First AddittoiiwtB�Park View, were presented, and on motion drily accepted.
Commissioner C J Marshall offered Resolution #210 entitled:
ARESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE PAVING RE- PAVING, HARD SURFACING AND RE *HARDSURFACING
OF SIXTH STREET FROM FRENCH AVE TO PECAN AVE, MAPLE AVE FROM FIFTH STREET TO SIXTH
STREET AND HOLLY AVE FROM FIFTH STREET TO SIXTH STREET A WIDTH-OF 24 FEET.
and moved that same be adopted.
Thereupon said resolution was read in fall. Upon the reading of said resolution
the question was put upon the adoption of same. Those voting in favor of the passage
and adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners Forrest Lake, S 0 Chase and C J Mar-
shall. Those voting against the passage and adoption of said resolution were:
Commissioners None.
Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission
of the City of Sanford, Florida,.had by unanimous vote passed and adopted that certain
Resolution #210 entitled:
A Resolution providing for the paving, re--paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing

of Sixth Street from French Ave. to Pecan Ave., Maple Ave. from Fifth Street
to Sixth Street and Holly Ave. from Fifth Street to Sixth Street, a width of 24 feet.

OF ELEVENTH STREET FROM FRENCH AVE WEST TO HOLLY AVENUE A WIDTH OF 24 FEET.
AND MOVED THAT SAME BE ADOPTED.
Thereupon said resolution was read in full. Upon the reading of said resolution

and adoption of said resolution were: Commissioners Forrest Lake, S 0 Chase and C J

Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that the City Commission:
of the City of Sanford, Florida, had unanimously passed and adopted that certain:
Resolution #211, entitled:
A Resolution providing for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing
of Eleventh Street from French Ave. west to Holly Ave. a width of 14 feet.
On motion duly adopted the City Manager was authorized to advertise for bids on
1,000 concrete piling for East Side Bulkhead.
